I had one treatment of CoolSculpt on abdomen six months later and looks like I'm 4 months pregnant. Advice?

My abdomen went from being relatively flat to two Humps. It is as though it is bloated just in these areas. Very tight. Intetstef in understanding why this might have happened and how can it can be corrected.

Thank you for your question. This sounds like it might be Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH). This is a rare occurrence when the fat increases in size. I recommend having a follow up with your treating physician for an evaluation and treatment. Best of Luck!

Hi,
This could be a very rare side effect called paradoxical hyperplasia, typically seen 4-6 months after treatment.  Physical examination is the best way to diagnose it.  If it is, liposuction is the treatment.

There is a rare occurence called Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia ( PAH)after 
Coolsculpting. (CS) . In non technical terms it is the opposite of fat cells after CS: Growth instead of reduction. I have had to treat with liposuction a patient referred to me by the CS company. You need to go back to your original CS provider . Tell them you think you have PAH after CS and they will start a file with the Zeltiq (CS) company. If their review board agrees with the diagnosis they will pay a board certified PS to fix with liposuction. That speaks volume for the CS company: they want their patients to be happy after CS.

You should have before and after photos . I would suggest going back to your physician to rule out the possibility of paradoxical hyperplasia

You should definitely follow up with your CoolSculpting provider.  As long as you haven't gained a significant amount of weight, this could be could be paradoxical hyperplasia, which is an extremely rare side effect from Coolsculpting.  Your provider will be able to determine if it is or not.  This rare side effect can be corrected with Liposuction.  Best of luck

You should follow up with your CoolSculpting provider. It's hard to tell without any before and after photos. This could be paradoxical hyperplasia that happens in a small number of patients. This hyperplasia can be corrected with liposuction.
