Jowling starting to return after 2011 facelift. Am I ready for another lift or do I run the risk of a pulled appearance? (photo)

Thank you for your question and pictures.  It not uncommon for people to repeat a facelift as they do not want the jowls to return to maybe how they were.  I would suggest waiting a few more years before thinking about having another.  If you had one now the change would be minimal.  It would be better to wait and feel like your money was spent well.  All The Best 

Thanks for your question!  It is not uncommon to need another facelift at some point in your life.  That being said, I don't think you're there just yet.  Your face and neck both still look tight and natural.  The jowls are minimal at best.  I would wait until you're further along in the aging process.  Good luck!

Based on these photos and short of in person evaluation, I would suggest treatment with fine liposuction cannula (1-1.2 mm) in local anesthesia. Removing 1-2 ml of fat from jowls would create significant improvement with minimal recovery time. Good luck.

Thank you for your question; To resolved the problem of the jowl in a more permanent way and more natural way you need a SMAS procedure that will lift the fat  attach to the SAMS and have no tension in the skin in your face will give you a natural look without look pull.

Often a secondary lift will enhance the results of your original lift if done properly. In fact, the underlying scar tissue can serve as a buttress to reinforce the lifting procedure and I often see patients who have a better and longer lasting result after their secondary lifting procedure. You can avoid a pulled look by going to the right surgeon and board certified facial plastic surgeons are a good option. 

I have performed a second facelift in less time than your situation.  A second facelift willNot give you a weird appearance if done properly.  It’s really up to you whether it ifs worth it for you yet.

Hello,Thanks for your question. From what I see, it seems as if your problem is less about jowling than bone loss at the angle of the mandible. In these situations, I attempt to control this by a combination of procedures: jowl microliposuction, RF microneedling of the lower face, and mandible angle augmentation with Radiesse or jaw implants. This combination works very well and had minimal downtime and risk compare to other procedures like a minilift or another SMAS facelift. You've already had 2 lifts in a short amount of time and you are only 52. If you don't pace yourself with nonsurgical treatments you will eventually end of with a joker's smile deformity. Good luck,Dr. Shah

It can be said that it is not common after that point of facelift, of course your happines is above everything, you may wait a few years more or have a  revision facelift to reach your desired result.
You can benefit from some nonsurgical treatments like botox and/or  filler. However, making certain assessments are not right without a detailed physical examination and analyses to achieve best result. Best of Luck,Kind Regards, 

In looking at the jaw area you are concerned about, I would recommend waiting a few more years before having a revision facelift. Other options to consider at this time would be InstaLift threadlift and/ or Ultherapy. We have seen some great results tightening the jawline with both of these treatments in our practice.

to have a secondary facelift after 10 years is quite common because most facelift provide a good correction between seven and 15 years. If the secondary facelift is done correctly one can still achieve a very natural not over pulled result.  However in your particular case , being still very young and having minimal signs of aging in the chin jowl area I would recommend you to consider non-surgical treatment ? My favorite filler is autologous fat and in can take be grafted around your chin and jaw area.
