I'm a young Asian male with a naturally high hairline. I've been researching hair transplants and want to get some input on some criteria: 1) FUE vs. FUT 2) ***COST Cost is the biggest factor for me to be honest. I was wondering (with these pictures) if anyone could give me a rough idea of how much it may cost to lower my hairline. I mainly just want to lower it to where it is in line with the lowest part of my hairline. Thanks
Answer: Dot vs Line You need an exam first to make sure surgery will not cause more damage than good (such as shock hair loss or further genetic hair loss). FUE will give you thousands of dot scars that you will see if your hair is buzz cut or shaved. FUT (strip) will give you line scar that you will see if your hair is shorter than an #2 guard. Both are great surgeries for the right reasons for the right patient. Find a doctor that offer all types of surgery (FUE/ FUT/ ARTAS/ etc) so you won't get a biased opinion. The results depend on the doctor not the technique. Cost wise FUE will be more expensive. Your surgery can range from $5000 to $15,000 depending on method and the amount you want your hairline lowered.I realize cost may be a factor, but a cheap hair transplant surgery is like herpes....It's for life.

Answer: Price for new hair Common question. I understand you would like a ballpark figure. Depending on volume of grafts we charge up to $7 a graft using automated FUE (NeoGraft). The amount of grafts you need is determined by your desires - how much fullness do you want restored, how low do you want to go, etc. Based on your photos, anywhere from 800 grafts to 1,600 grafts is a fair range. Remember, each graft will have on average up to 2.5 hairs since follicles have between 1 and 4 hairs. So while you pay for 1,000 grafts you may be receiving up to 2,500 hairs. I prefer NeoGraft to avoid linear scar.

Answer: Hairline lowering costs Forehead reduction surgery comes in two types, the first is a surgical procedure that gives you same day results, the second is a hair transplant that takes 6-7 months to see. For men, my only concern is in the potential balding that may occur as age advances so that with a surgical procedure, the hairline could continue to rise after the procedure requiring a hair transplant. If that happens to you (your risk) then you will have to get a hair transplant to cover it as the frontal area is the place that genetic balding occurred. On my website, there are great pictures of hair transplant lowering procedures in women and in our gallery on our website, you can see hundreds of men who had their hairline replaced, lowered or improved. The cost varies: Surgical lowering procedures run between $7,000-10,000 and a hair transplant for the same area is about the same or lower cost depending upon how much lowering you need

Answer: Cost of hair transplant Determining the cost of your hair transplant procedure depends on the degree of hair loss. There are many factors that effect the cost. Your donor hair has to be examined to determine the amount of quality donor hair that can be safely harvested. The donor availability and the degree of hair loss help establish the surgery session size and the actual price range. Most hair restoration practices charge an average price per graft for the harvested donor hair per session. That average price per graft is impacted by the type of procedure you choose to have, whether it is FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) Strip, or FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction). In addition, there are clinics that use just medical assistant to perform the whole procedure and doctor is not involved. This will not only effect the outcome of the procedure, but also the cost. All these factors are combined to determine the actual cost for your surgical hair restoration. Now, more than ever before, surgical hair restoration is affordable. Typical procedures at our clinic range from $3,500 to $10,000, depending on the number of grafts and the technique used to harvest the grafts. To help you plan financially, we have different seasonal discounts available. While cost may be a driving factor in your decision, you have to make sure you are getting quality care for your money spent. However, if the cost is the only factor, whatever you pay for a bad hair transplant is way too much.To find out about the procedure, and the cost you can visit meshkinmedical.com or call us for a free consultation.
