Dear Labinot, Thank you for posting this question. The cost for a hair transplant surgery will vary widely according to the practice that offers it. There is no tool, formula, robot, or certification that guarantees a good result in hair transplant surgery....it's the experience, dedication and talent of the surgeon and his or her team of technicians. There's a saying we doctors have in the field of hair restoration, which is: "the good thing about hair restoration surgery results is that they are permanent. The bad thing is that they are permanent." The reality is that hair restoration is a highly-complicated procedure with hundreds of subtleties and nuances. The cost will vary according to the experience, dedication, and talent of the surgeon and practice who will be performing your surgery. Because the results are permanent, it's not the best idea to shop on price alone or you may be stuck with results you are not satisfied with for the rest of your life. It turns out that in the USA there are very few qualifications needed to be able to call yourself a "hair restoration surgeon." Notably, there is zero surgery training required for a physician to give themselves this title. A psychiatrist may have a sign printed today saying "hair restoration surgery" and hang it on his door, hire some techs off of Craigslist, buy a few instruments, and start to offer surgical hair restorations tomorrow, without having ever touched a surgical instrument. Clearly, in such a case, the results will almost certainly not be stellar. Careful research and consultations with more than one provider are indicated for you so that you are happy with the results.I hope this information is helpful to you.Kind Regards,Ken Anderson, MD, FISHRS
Are you the one on the couch or the one facing away from the camera? If you are the one facing away, it would seem you lost most of your hair in a Norwood 6 pattern. The cost of a surgery is based on the number of grafts. Each graft can range wildly from $2 to $12 a graft. It depends on the doctor and the technique used to harvest the grafts. To cover your entire head, it would take 6000+ grafts. Even with 6000 grafts you will still have a thin look. So you must understand what is possible with a hair transplant surgery and what realistic goals you have in mind.A great doctor can make you look better with 2000 grafts as long as the doctor sets your expectations.
The cost of a procedure is as individual as the patient and their hair loss.It depends on the clinic you choose, the type of procedure you undergo, the complexity of your case and the number of grafts needed to address your concerns. I suggest you consult a hair restoration expert.
There isn't a set price for hair transplant, as your overall cost estimate will depend on the number of grafts required, skill / experience level of the surgeon and hospital infrastructure. The average cost of a hair transplant in starts from ₹1,30,000 ( $2,000 approx) and further depends on how many grafts are required and the cost per graft.Likewise the cost of an average facial hair transplant can start from ₹80,000 ( $1,250 approx ) and this also depends on number of grafts required.
The cost of a hair transplant will vary by region and by surgeon. You will be charged per graft and a graft is made up of 1, 2 or 3 hairs depending on how your hair grows naturally. Our prices are published on our website and run approximately $4-5.00 per graft. You have extensive hair loss and would need multiple procedures in order to cover the top of your scalp.6000-8000 grafts are needed to cover the entire top of a bald scalp. In general, we plant about 1700-1800 grafts in one day which can nicely restore your frontal hairline, about the frontal 1/3 of the top of your scalp.
First, take a look at our gallery of 1000patients who had hair transplants and find yourself on it (see below in webreference). Once you find yourself, the number of grafts will be listed forthat particular patient. To find out the cost, check with the doctor or his feeper grafts. By example, if you found someone with your balding pattern that got1000 grafts and the doctor charges $5/graft, then your estimated cost would be$5,000 for a procedure. With your advanced hair loss pattern, it will take well over 4000 grafts and possibly two procedure to achieve it.
Hair transplant cost depends on the technique used, the doctor experience, the number of grafts and the location of the clinic. Since your donor hair is limited your best option is FUT and I suggest around 3000 to 3500 grafts depending on your density and laxity. You can contact your doctor of choice to get a quote for that many grafts. Some doctors give traveling reimbursements and may gave seasonal discounts, you can ask if those are offered to come up with the final cost.
