Hello.I am very worried about my nose.I had a Rhinoplasty 7 days ago and my cast is still on but my boyfriend hit me with his hand accidently while sitting next to me.It hurt me for 5-10 minutes but then all was okay and I didn't see any blood..Today is the day after the hit and I feel okay but I kind of feel a little numbness every once in a while and slight pain every two hours or so..I am very scared,can it be broken or maybe displaced or something? Please help me..

Thank you very much for enquire.It's too early to make value judgments with only 7 days after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

It is unlikely that the trauma caused a serious injury, especially with no immediate bleeding.  The cast does offer some protection.  However, only your surgeon can precisely answer the question.  I recommend contacting him/her as soon as possible to set up a follow-up appointment.Good luck!

Only your surgeon can answer this question. It depends upon where you were hit and the force of the impact.  The cast often provides some protection.  Please ice the nose and call your surgeon

appreciate your concern.If things do not seemed moved, and you did not have bleeding, it is unlikely that you had major displacement. However, physical examination by your surgeon is needed to make sure that your surgery has not being impacted by the trauma
