When doing a tummy tuck, will the extra skin on top of vagina be pulled up as well?

Typically an abdominoplasty removes not only excess skin of the abdomen but also tends to rejuvenate the mons area. Careful marking must be performed such that the incision is ultimately located in the right area but the goal is to remove all of the excess skin of the abdomen while at the same time tightening the mons area creating a more youthful look. This also allows a better equalization of the thickness of the flaps so that there's a smooth contour at the level of the incision. Good luck and hope this helps

It depends on your anatomy and the surgical plan but yes, the pubic area can be lifted with tummy tuck.  I do this routinely and remove fat as needed as well.  Be sure to ask your plastic surgeon about this during your consultation.

Congratulations on your weight loss. Keep it up. I always address the loose skin or hanging pubis. In some cases it actually obstructs easy urinal voiding and coitus. question.   Congratulations on your weight loss.  The excess tissue above your pubic area can be pulled up and removed.  A tummy tuck can be done
through a low and short incision, all completely below the bikini line.  The belly button can be designed to look
natural and have no scars on the exterior.  
Your muscles can also be plicated resulting in a flat abdomen.  Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.  The most important
aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek
consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate
you in person.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  In cases of mild mons ptosis a tummy tuck will help correct the sagging but patients with either tissue fullness or moderate to severe sagging will require a monsplasty with anchoring of the tissue to the abdominal wall to achieve the best result.  Hope this helps.

Yes, that is a good questions.  Often with weight loss and with aging, the skin in the pubic areas for men and women can sag just like other areas of the body.  When performing the abdominoplasty portion of the mommy makeover the abdominal skin is tightening by pulling the skin downward.  The skin in the pubic region is also tightened by pulling the skin in an upward direction.  In the vast majority of patients this makes a nice improvement.  If you are not having a tummy tuck, then mons lift can be performed to specifically address excess skin. Good Luck

The pubic area will typically have some lifting during the Tummy Tuck.   If an additional pubic lift with fat reduction is needed the plastic surgeon can perform that as well.  Each patient has their own unique circumstances and desires and the procedure can be customized for their needs.

A combination of liposuction of this area as well as advancement of local tissue can help get rid of the fullness of this area the people seem to dislike.
