I am a Trans man looking to find out if coolscultping will work for me, I have read that it won't effect the breast tissue itself, is this true? I have quite lumpy broken down breast tissue from years of binding my chest. Here is a photo.

Answer: CoolSculpting for Breasts Hello Samuel. CoolSculpting does not treat glandular breast tissue. However, if most of your breast tissue has been replaced by fat, then you may see some improvement with CoolSculpting. The best way to tell this is through an in-person consultation which you should schedule with an experienced CoolSculpting provider. For more information on CoolSculpting to treat the breasts you can view my youtube video by clicking the link below.

Answer: CoolSculpting® won’t remove glandular breast tissue. The process of CoolSculpting®, which is called cryolipolysis, is designed specifically to target only fat cells and leave the surrounding tissues unaffected. Unfortunately in your case, this means that CoolSculpting® probably won’t be a sufficient treatment to help you reach your goals of reducing glandular breast tissue. However, you should be able to combine surgical excision of glandular tissue with a body contouring procedure like CoolSculpting® or even lipo and see very nice results. Be sure to visit a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in gender reassignment surgery, or male breast reduction at the very least if the former isn’t an option in your area.
