Hi. Areolar reduction is usually performed as part of a breast lift. As with all cosmetic surgery the decision in the end comes down to whether the appearance of your breasts bother you sufficiently to have the surgery. There are trade-offs however - you have permanent scars around your areolas. I am not sure what you mean by 'without consent' - do you mean of your parents? In Australia 16 is the legal age of consent, but you should be discussing your concerns with your parents. If your parents are not supportive then try discussing your concerns with your family physician first, and if it really bothers you then consult a plastic surgeon in your area.

In the state inwhich I practice, surgery can not be performed in a patient less than 18 without parental consent. The question is whether it is appropriate. Consult a PS and get an opinion. The issues are whether your breast have matured adequately, breast shape and size, nipple sensation, future pregnancies, weight gain or loss, skin type and scarring potential, breast asymmetry........too many concerns to address without a thorough physical exam.I wish you well !
