For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi, thanks for your question. Typically you should wait until you have fully recovered from your initial lip filler treatment, meaning all bruising and swelling has subsided before having more filler injected. This can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks it really just depends on how you react to the product. That said, I recommend that you have an in person consultation with your injector in order to see what their recommendations are and to come up with a customized treatment plan for you.
Hi there! Thank you for your question. I would always recommend starting with a small .5 lip plump as this is a great base amount of product which can be built upon over time. If you would like more volume you should allow 2 weeks to allow the filler to completely settle and for any residual swelling to subside. You can then review the amount of product to be added in clinic. I hope this helps!Best Wishes,Dr. Rupert
Dear nat744,generally speaking, you can get additional filler when ever you want. If you are considering a treatment, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Depending how you have recovered from your previous injections a week or more is typical before adding additional products. You would of course, want to speak with your injector about their recommendation of adding more filler and when the appropriate time to do so is for you. The biggest concern would be that your swelling and bruising has subsided before returning for an additional treatment.
Hi there!Thank you for your question. I would wait minimum for two-three weeks until most of the swelling has subsided before adding more filler.
Hello and thank you for your question. In general I would advise you to wait at least 2 weeks before getting more filler. This is due to your lip possible being swollen or irritated with the first injection, Best wishes to you.Dr. T
It can take up to two weeks for bruising and swelling to resolve and your final results to be seen from your initial treatment. After that time you can evaluate if you would like further product and it can be injected at that time.
Hi! In our practice we recommend our patients wait at least four to six weeks before receiving more filler to the same area. This gives the skin time to heal and time for swelling to go away. It also takes time for the filler to incorporate completely into the tissues. This way you can see the final result and determine how much more product you would like to add. We always recommend seeing a trained Registered Nurse in a board-certified plastic surgery practice who can assess your individual anatomy before treatment. Thanks for your question!
For patients who wish to have more volume I typically recommend waiting until lips are fully healed from initial injection. This varies from patient to patient but generally speaking is about 2 weeks following initial injection. We want to make sure that there is no residual swelling, bruising or inflammatory process before adding additional filler.
