I have Glaucoma. Can i have under eye fillers?

I have a condition called Glaucoma, which needs of course eye drops, and the eye drops gave me a lot of under eye bags, and I was wondering if i can have under eye fillers (hyaluronic acid. Is the filler going to affect my Glaucoma? The eye drops can affect the filler later when is done? Is it safe to have? I was really needing the answers.

Hi @AnneMarieee. Yes, you can get tear trough fillers if you have glaucoma. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications.

can you have fillers with glaucoma, yes. fillers do not go into the eye or effect the eyepressure. I suggest you go to an expert as this area is very sensitive and needs the right type of treatment.

at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules) should be started now.

There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term.  There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery.  Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers, lasers, microneedling/PRP, cosmelan peels, and microneedling RF like Fractora or morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. Yes, you can still have fillers for the under eye area if you have glaucoma.  The under eye bags you are noticing are not likely from the eye drops.  The filler will not affect your glaucoma and the eye drops will not affect the filler.  Be sure to see an experienced injector for your treatment.

Your under eye bag is likely not a side effect of your drops either.  Have a consultation with a certified injector of course.

Neither your glaucoma or the eye drops for it have caused or effected the under eye "bags." Fillers will not effect the glaucoma when done properly by an expert.
