I'm going to get a breast augmentation done but just wondering if I need a lift also? They are uneven tuberous breasts. So was going to get a breast augmentation with a areola reduction? Need advice
Answer: In person evaluation is needed; often different size implants will suffice After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. Answer: Breast augmentation Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You don't need a lift, but may benefit from differentially sized implants and an areola reduction. It is difficult to make a proper assessment with this picture but an in person evaluation with a board certified plastic surgeon will be able to give you all of your options.

Answer: Breasts Just based on you one sideways photo, you do not have tubular breasts. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing your options for an augmentation and lift.

Answer: Do I need a lift? From the limited photo it appears you may benefit from a conservative lift which would include a reduction of the areola. Implants can be added as well to improve symmetry and shape. The best recommendation will come from an examination. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Mini lift with fat transfers or small implants The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers or small implants can be placed totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast implant or breast lift or both Hello, thank you for your question. This is a common question. A breast implant will take what you have as existing breast tissue and make your breast size larger. Breast implants do not change the shape or size of your areola or lift your natural breast tissue. If indeed you would like to have the shape of your breast tissue change and areola smaller than a mastopexy would accomplish both of those concerns. I would suggest having a consultation with your plastic surgeon prior to making any decisions. Feel free to check out our website for more information about breast augmentations and mastopexies.
