Hi, thank you for sharing your question. If your oncologist and medical doctor agree that breast augmentation is safe for you, then you can proceed. I hope this helps.
Hi & thanks for your question! You would need to get clearance from your oncologist/physician. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. Best wishes!
Hello, thank you for your question. Congratulations on finishing your Chemo and being in remission!! Thats truly fantastic! Usually when considering a breast augmentation after having chemo, we try and get clearance from the oncologist that you were seeing. If the oncologist gives their approval to go ahead with surgery than usually the plastic surgeon is ok with it if you are otherwise healthy. Remember that cosmetic plastic surgery such as a breast augmentation is an elective surgery and not considered emergent. Therefore your health comes first, and seeing the risk factors before performing an elective surgery. #donda. Feel free to check out our link on breast augmentation. Thank you
Dear senojkay,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You will need to gel a clearance from your doctor prior to surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
If your oncologist gives you a medical clearance to have elective surgery, then perhaps you can proceed. Otherwise, you need to wait.
As long as you are doing well and your immune system isn’t compromised, you can consider breast augmentation. I recommend your schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can go over your history, examine you and make recommendations. I would want a letter of clearance from your oncologist prior to surgery but the presence of a port should not matter. Dr. Edwards
Glad you are recovery well. Best to ask for written clearances from treating oncologist first. Then find a boarded Plastic Surgeon to see if willing to operate. Good Luck.
Hi and welcome to our forum! As there are many types of cancer and multiple modalities of chemotherapy, I can't provide a specific answer. You would require reevaluation by your oncologist to determine your candidacy for a cosmetic procedure. If cleared to proceed, surgery could be performed. Best wishes...
You need to ask your surgeon what he/she prefers since he/she is doing your procedure. I would think a low setting would be fine to use at week three unless it was still painful for your breasts, especially if your implants are placed behind the muscle.
Hi and welcome to our forum! Thank you for your submission. The cause of your pain cannot be determined by a photograph alone. A complete in-person examination is required as the cause is obscure. You should consider reevaluation by your plastic surgeon. Best wishes...
Hello, thank you for your question. In order to find an appropriate breast implant size, we usually take a measurement of the the breast width on one side. Based off of that we give you a spectrum of sizes from smallest to the highest you can go to look proportional to your frame. The best way...
