Hello, I had a partial left sided nephrectomy at 4 months old. Completely resolved. I'm under urology for stress incontinence at present. There's a record on my medical notes for mild depressive illness (2009) under the active section. I'm nervous that this will be an issue at my preoperative assessment next week. Can anyone offer advice? I'm 37, fit, healthy, non drinker

Plastic Surgery is an elective surgery it is not urgent or life threatening if not completed. With that being said a pre screening with your medical doctor and your nephrologist should be completed to see if you are deemed safe for plastic surgery. There are certain circumstances that you can proceed with the surgery but may require more in hospital surveillance and monitoring which may not be provided in a private clinical setting.
