What advice can you offer for my pre-operative assessment query? Can I still get surgery?

Hello, I had a partial left sided nephrectomy at 4 months old. Completely resolved. I'm under urology for stress incontinence at present. There's a record on my medical notes for mild depressive illness (2009) under the active section. I'm nervous that this will be an issue at my preoperative assessment next week. Can anyone offer advice? I'm 37, fit, healthy, non drinker

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. I would suggest piercing the nipples at least 3 months prior to your surgery. This will allow sufficient time for healing before your implant surgery. I hope this helps.

You need to ask your surgeon what he/she prefers since he/she is doing your procedure. I would think a low setting would be fine to use at week three unless it was still painful for your breasts, especially if your implants are placed behind the muscle.
