My chin is fleshy and the overlying soft tissue is disproportionately larger than the underlying bone. When I smile, my chin pad pulls downward creating a "witch’s chin" deformity. The chin elongates and a deepened submental crease develops. (hyperdynamic chin pad ptosis). I have seen many options to correct my chin: - submental excision, flesh removal, & tuck - sliding genioplasty - chin augmentation: implant to support weak/under-developed chin. The area that you circled is a natural crease between the lower lip and chin. In our experience, filling this may lead to bumpiness and visible product. In that regard, it may be best to leave this alone. Hope this helps and thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
