Today my dead tooth fell out. Leaving the root in. I know I need to taken on. But I hate dentist due to bad experience. Will i be left long without a tooth. Or can i have a replacement temp. My dentist isn't very good. And I feel he won't give me an option. I'm on a low income also. The missing tooth is bottom side. Is viable when mouth open wide to smile
Answer: Broken tooth What i suggest is that you get the root removed, because it can cause infection and it can go into the bone and cause damage if its left to long. Then you can consider putting an implant with a crown.Or a second option can be putting a three unit bridge that can replace that tooth and its attached by the adjacent teeth. The bridge is the least expensive way to go but the implant is a more long term way. See a dentist and tell him to talk to you about the different options.

Answer: Bad experience with the dentist Hello, I am glad you are not in pain with your broken tooth. With prior bad experiences with dental care it takes a lot of courage to go to a dentist. Unfortunately with your broken tooth you really should find a dentist who you can trust to help you with your broken tooth. There are many ways that dentists can help you though your fears. One option is sleep dentistry. You can be sedated without any memory of your tooth treatment. Sounds nice, right? As to tooth replacement options, you can possibly replace your missing tooth with a removable bridge. This would be your least expensive option for now. When your finances improve then you can go to a more permanent option such as an implant or cemented bridge. Good luck.

Answer: Replacement temporary Leaving a root in your mouth for an extended period of time is not a good idea- it can become infected. To replace the tooth, and you should replace it, there are several options. The best way is with a single tooth implant. However this usually takes months before you actually get a tooth in the space. A temporary removable appliance (often called a flipper or an Essix retainer) can be made after the root is removed which will fill in the space with a replacement tooth. You can wear this appliance before any implant is placed or even after the placement while the implant is healing. You need to see a dentist and have all your options explained including healing time and costs. Good luck!
