If you have any discomfort from the implant site or you can feel that the implant is loose, then it's very possible that the implant is failing. In either case, if you have any concerns about the advice you were getting from your dentist, then seek out a second opinion.I hope you found this information to be helpful,Dr. Champagne
When you look at the xray you can see the implant is placed very close to your one front tooth. As others point out the xray it too dark to determine for sure, but if there really is that much boneloss you could potentially end up also loosing your front tooth so i would see your dentist ASAP for new diagnostic imaging. Hi:From the xray it appears there is a shadow around the implant which could be an indication that the impant is failing. Also the level of bone around the implant is a concern. Please consult with your implant surgeon.Best,Dr. Maddahi
The x-ray you provided unfortunately seems too dark to determine whether the shadowing around the implant is bone loss or an area with less density. I would return to your surgeon as he/she would be the best person to guide you.
From the x-ray it appears that there is not enough bone around the implant. Please see your surgeon for an accurate diagnosis.
