Severely dehydrated skin. Is there anything else I can try or treatment that will help?

I have severely dehydrated facial skin to the point that if I go for a massage and lay face down the sheets marks will as for a good 24 hrs. I do drink lots of water and moisturize constantly. The dehydration is causing lots of fine lines.

Thank you for submitting your concern. There are a number of different treatments tied in with home care options that will work together to help rebalance the hydration levels of your skin. First is drinking enough water throughout the day, if you live an active lifestyle I would suggest adding electrolyte powders to your water to help replenish your water levels after a workout. Making sure you eat enough leafy greens, fruit and vegetables. Home care products like cream cleansers, toners that are pH balanced and don't contain alcohol, hyaluronic based serums, hydrators and masks. Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. There are many options for those fine lines once you have hydrated your skin from within and by using the right products, as you have likely lost collagen and elastin and hyaluronic acid which are they hydrating backbones of your skin.  You can have various skin rejuvenation treatments performed including smooth PDO threads, fractional RF laser or have PRP (your own platelet rich plasma) introduced into your skin for a rejuvenating effect, as some examples. Also add a growth factor serum. We are huge fans of Factor Five growth factor serum as it contains human stem cells. Extremely good for your skin. Good luck!

Hi thanks for sharing your concern,first  watch out your diet and life style modification,find out if your skin is dry or dehydrated ,if dry it causes itchiness .To combat it a good water intake,avoid scrubing ,use only toners ,ceramide containing products ,alcohol free and products suitable for your skin type.seal it with sunscreen at last to protect the moisture .Do consult a cosmetic dermatologist and seek a good skin rejuvenation regime and get  it fixed.
