I used waxing strips for my face while using a Retinol cream. What I can do to prevent scarring and to treat the inflamed area?

There are missing patches of skin on my face and I think I have folliculitus.

It sounds like you have erosions, or skin "lifting" after waxing.  This is common when using retinol.  I recommend Biafine emulsion 3 times daily, TNS recovery complex twice daily and a short course of antibiotics for the folliculitis in your case.  I'd also recommend laser hair removal instead of waxing.Good luck!

It's difficult to answer without pictures. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist for after care. I recommend silicone gel with growth factors and skin care. Any scarring can be treated with lasers and microneedling/prp. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
