Facetite radiofrequency is wonderful treatment to help heighten the neck line and remove excess fat. Some people take longer than others for edema to resolve and this I think depends upon the energies delivered and the extent of fat to begin with.It is quite normal for numbness and firmness to persist for many weeks. If you are concerned I would encourage you to communicate with your operating surgeon since occasionally and rarely other complications can occur.

As a rule of thumb, I tell patients that it takes 10 days-two weeks for most but not all of the swelling and bruising to resolve. I do have some patients that take longer. Infections are pretty rare but it's not unusual to have swelling settling into the neck because of gravity. Having done over 400 facelifts last five years, some patients need to be followed more closely. Small collections of blood that accumulate a day or two after surgery may require drainage using needle and syringe. The numbness may persist for weeks to months particularly in the earlobe and in front of the ear.
