Is it okay to drink alcohol after having FaceTite?

Question

I was unaware that I was not supposed to drink alcohol, my doctor never told me I wasn't allowed to but then I found out I can't. I had my procedure done a little over a month ago and I drank 5x since did I ruin this procedure?

Hi NicoleTaylor1228,Alcohol can slow the healing process, so it is possible that it takes longer for swelling and bruising to come down.  It is unlikely that you 'ruined' the procedure for yourself.  Follow closely with your surgeon.  Remember the final result is closer to the 6 month mark.Best wishes,Dr. Jay

Thank you for your question. I recommend staying away from alcohol the first couple days after having FaceTite. I recommend consulting your provider and always seeking treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.
