Dear breemixx27,birth control pills increase risk of blood clots so most plastic surgeons recommend their patients to stop using them prior to surgery. But every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Birth control pills increase your risk of blood clots. The risk is low of developing a symptomatic clot with a BBL but would be increased slightly with someone on birth control pills. Some surgeons require patients to stop taking them prior to surgery others explain the risk and decide along with the patient whether to stop. Discuss this with your surgeon. Best of luck.
Birth control pills may increase your risk of developing a deep vein thrombosis. You should ask your surgeon if you should stop taking them.
Hello Yes, you have to stop taking them at least month before the procedure to prevent complications and risks during and after surgery. Good luck :)
Thank you for your question. I myself don't require patients to stop taking birth control but have known of surgeons who require patients to stop using hormonal contraceptives at least 30 days prior to surgery.

With undetectable viral load and normal CD4 counts, your risks for surgery are the same as for any other patient. I generally get a letter of clearance from an infectious disease specialist prior to proceeding, but have performed BBLs on many patients that are HIV positive.Hope this helps - Sam...
This can be improved with a revision. Keep in mind, harvesting is important to fat transfer. I use water-assisted fat harvesting which gives pure fat to transfer and combine with platelet rich plasma (PRP) to get the most viable and sustainable fat cells. This can be combined with Sculptra to ...
In a BBL, fat cells with fat inside of them are transferred to the buttocks area from various other areas on the body. In the normal process of wound healing, some of these cells, which are semi viable, will lose their fat and yet still survive. This potentially leads to some flattening in s...
Thank you for your question. To provide a valid medical opinion I will need to see pictures of you body from different angles. I would suggest to be treated by board certified plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure, to get the best desired results. Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
