It's now almost 3 months since my BA One of the stitches just wont dissolve, you can only see a very short piece of it coming out. It's not actually "splitting out", I think it was just too close to skin, after quite big "scap" fell of. Nurse looked at it and said that the scar is otherwise healed perfectly and it's not open and that there's not much to be done and all you can do is wait. This bothers me, because isn't it so, that if the stitch gets air, it wont dissolve?

I would go back to my surgeon and express my concerns in a non confrontational manner and I am certain he will take your concerns seriously as most surgeons want their patients to be happy.

You should stay in close contact with your doctor to make any decisions regarding your treatment. Hematomas will increase the likelihood of a capsular contracture, and many surgeons elect to surgically remove these to reduce the amount of inflammation in the area. There is no "perfect" answer...
