Bruising after doing last injection of Juvederm on my bottom lip. Possible Tyndall effect/necrosis? (Photos)

I just got Juvederm Ultra XC lip injections for the first time, and upon doing the last injection on my bottom lip, the nurse quickly told me I was bleeding and that it would definitely bruise. The bruise in question is somewhat white colored with a light blue inside, and I'm worried that it is necrosis/tyndall effect as opposed to normal bruising. Figured I would get a second/third party opinion, because I am somewhat of a hypochondriac and really anxious about it!

This looks like bruising, which can be typical after lip fillers. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results, but this may be superficially placed filler. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Thank you for your question. From your photos, it looks like you have a bruise which is common after lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid fillers. It can take up to 2 weeks for all bruising and swelling to resolve. As HA fillers are not permanent you can have them dissolved with hyaluronidase if unhappy with the results. I recommend having a follow up with your injector in 2 weeks for an evaluation. Best of Luck!

Thanks for your question.  Lip injections are very rewarding, however, lips tend to bleed  very easily, even with the best hands.  From your pictures it looks like you bruised, it can take one to two weeks for the bruise to go away.  If nothing happens, them definitely go back to your injector to reasses your lips
