Uneven fat - could this be fixed with lipo? (Photo)

Question

I have a like a pouch of fat on back of my right thigh. It sticks out more than my left. My dr isn’t concerned because she doesn’t feel anything abnormal but it’s making me self conscious. Can you have more fat on one back of thigh than the other and would lipo fix it??

We are all asymmetrical to some degree.  If the area that concerns you is a pocket of fat it should be improved by liposuction.  An examination is needed to know if that is the right recommendation for you.

Body asymmetry is - usually - normal. 
Fortunately, liposuction/liposculpture (liposuction + fat transfer in other areas) can help tremendously in these situations.

Hi, the photo is not clear about your concern and the problem. You must know that the human body is not symmetric and differences are normal. Anyway, you can have lipo on the right leg. Consult a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area for a physical exam. Good luck!

Dear Sincere,
The single photo you have provided is not sufficient to attempt to answer your question.  In general, asymmetries between extremities are normal.  Also, liposuction is not an exact precise procedure, so correcting a minor asymmetry might not be completely realistically possible.  Seek consultation with an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon for an examination and discussion of your options.  Good luck!
