5’4” 140lbs. I want a TT w/ muscle repair in 2025 after my 3rd and last baby. I’m confused on what to expect for incision length. I don’t think I’ll need extended cause I’m happy with my natural hips&flanks. I’m imagining having a standard TT w/ the incision abt 2” longer (on each side) than my csection scar? Also, I’m sad to think about all that good skin above my Csection scar going to waste. Do doctors ever make a bit higher of a scar to utilize that good skin?

Answer: Tummy tuck incision - what to expect? Hello and thank you for your question. Based on the photos, you have very good muscle tone and the only way to address the excess skin and to achieve flat abdominal contour, would be through a tummy tuck. You may be a candidate for a mini tummy tuck to limit the extent of the incision and limit the scar. I would recommend to obtain an in person consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to further discuss your options and expectations. I hope this helps. Answer: Tummy Tuck Thank you for sharing your question and picture. For a tummy tuck, the incision length can vary based on your anatomy and the amount of skin to be removed. Typically, it's from hip to hip, slightly longer than a C-section scar. Surgeons aim to place the scar low enough to be concealed by underwear or a bikini. A higher scar isn't usual, as the goal is to tighten and remove excess lower abdominal skin. The specifics can be tailored to your body and desires in consultation with a plastic surgeon.
