It was inner stitching and my doc claims I should still wait one more months before the scars start flatten, but I have not seen that anyone else has anything similar! Is this really normal? Is there anything I can do / should do at this stage (2 months)? 6 days of the week I wear a silicon stripes on them.
Answer: Unusual scars after breast augmentation Thank you for your question. I can see why you're concerned but, at this stage, I don't think you should worry too much about scar quality. You seem to have some tethering of the skin from the underlying sutures, rather than adverse scarring and I'm confident that this will settle down. I would check with your surgeon first, but I would probably advocate massaging your scars, either with a plain moisturiser or a silicone based scar reduction gel. In the meantime, try not to worry, I'm sure things will turn out fine.

Answer: Breast Augmentation Dear klarissa_x,Thank you for your question and congratulations on your breast augmentation surgery. Although it is hard to tell from your photos, it seems as if you are healing just fine. With breast augmentation surgeries, I tell all of my patients that the final results cannot be judged until at leas 6-12 months following surgery. Also, my patients have gotten great results from silicone sheeting. However, if you are having concerns, I suggest following up with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck to you!

Answer: BA incision Dear klarissa_x,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Abnormal Scars 2 Months After Breast Augmentation At this point, if this is the appearance of the scars at two months, I would revise them. There is too much wrinkling and it looks like some of the capsule and the scar are bound together. Your surgeon can fix this. Does not hurt to wait, but it looks unlikely to go away by itself.

Answer: Unfavorable scar? Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, it appears that early healing has progressed normally. The irregular edges appear to represent bunching up of the skin margin. As only deep sutures were utilized, they are most likely of the absorbable variety...as they dissolve and lose their strength, the puckering should subside. It may take several more months."Tincture of time" will most likely resolve the problem. I would wait 6-12 months to allow for healing. If the scar remains unfavorable (unlikely), it can be revised.Continue followup with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes...
