If it’s appropriate to say about the surgery, this was an amazing experience! Dr. Shteynberg is a very high level professional with excellent bedside manners: caring, attentive, very knowledgeable and the most important for me able to examine and explain the procedure in a plain meaningful English (I mean one doesn’t need to graduate from medical school to understand) about pre- and post- surgery and the expectations and possible adverse events. He and his staff treats people with dignity and respect. I am very grateful to him for everything he has done to resolve my health problem.
He is very compassionate. He has a great bedside manner. Makes you feel omfortable. I recommend him highly. I had a double mastectomy with him. He made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole procedure
Dr. Schteynberg helped me feel confident again. I had extra skin and a big diastasis gap and he made me look better than when I was 17 without kids! He is super compassionate and kind and I completely trust his work. Thank you for everything.
I can't say enough good thing about Dr Shteynberg. I had a tummy tuck from a different Plastic Surgeon and it got infected. I was referred to Dr S. He has a wonderful bed side manner and I never felt pressured to have another "fix it" surgery. Not only did he fix me up but I am having my revision TT done.
My first visit with Dr Shteynberg was great. I thought I knew what I wanted and listened to his recommendations. I after having children and breastfeeding I lost my breasts. For over a decade I wore VS 2 cup enhancement bras. Dr. Shteynberg listened and understood what I wanted. A natural breast that fits my body. Nothing too dramatic. After tons of research I decided to trust him and I’m so happy with the results. One month after surgery I went bra shopping like a child in toy store! I have choices now! My husband can’t keep his hands off me. I feel sexy again and So natural looking. Highly recommend him
My overall experience with Dr. Shteynberg was outstanding. Before the surgery he explained the entire procedure and what to expect on the day of surgery. He was attentive and answered all my questions that I had before the procedure. After the surgery doctor Shteynberg was always available to address any concern I had. I was very happy with the result of my surgery. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shteynberg to anybody seeking plastic surgery.
I had a wonderful experience with Dr.shteynberg. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and he did her breast reconstruction. He was very patient and kind. He answered all questions. Always explained what he was going to do and why . Which is why I was very comfortable going to see him about my breast reduction. I am very satisfied with my results. My scars are very minimal and the size and shape of my breast are perfect. They are the results I hoped for. Dr. shteynberg And his team are very professional and address Andy concerns immediately. The doctor him self and staff members check in with me regularly. I couldn’t be happier with me decision.
I had a breast reduction with Dr. Shteynberg. My experience was amazing, I feel free and comfortable now. I felt very safe in the doctors hands. I am still healing, but I am pain-free, most of the pain was minimal during just the first two days after surgery. I would like to thank you the doctor and he surgical team for non-standing job, great results, and for making me feel amazing. After losing extra weight and having great looking breasts I feel like a bird.
I have struggled with my gynecomastia all my life: with my body image, confidence, socially, etc. When I reached out to Dr. Shteynberg, he reassured me with the entire procedure and made everything very clear and straightforward. Him and his team made me feel very comfortable the day of procedure. Now, after the surgery, I can say that I had an amazing experience and was surprised by my results; I couldn’t have imagined anything better. The recovery process was fairly quick and simple to follow, and I experienced very little to no pain post-op. My gratitude is beyond measure, it is something I’ve wanted for a very long time. I couldn’t be any more happier. Thank you.
I immediately noticed the benefits of the facial laser treatment. I was told that my face would feel slightly "sandpapery" and look a little red the next day or two, but 2-3 days later I noticed great results. My face was less inflamed than it was prior to treatment, and I also noticed benefits regarding acne. Kyra was extremely consultative and knowledgeable regarding the different types of treatment and what I should expect/do the next few days post treatment. I'd highly recommend it for anyone that wants to add this into their facial wellness routine.
Hello Shwan2b4. If one of the goals is to enlarge breasts, then implants will need to be used in the majority of cases. An exception could be cases when auto augmentation technique may be used (usually after a massive weight loss). Considering your desired appearance, you will probably need implants and a lift. At your consultation, you should try on different volume sizers to determine the size of the implant. Based on your breast measurements and the size of implants - a type of reduction technique will be determined. Best. A. Hello alisall. Bottomed-out implants may happen with larger implants, disrupted inframammary fold, and thinner skin flaps. It seems that your surgeon tried to stabilize pockets with acceptable procedures twice. At this point, I think getting a second opinion is the next reasonable step.Additional pictures with both breasts in the view and views of the second breast are helpful to appreciate the problem. In-person consultation, especially with multiple prior surgeries is more informative and productive for both a patient and a surgeon. Best. A. 400 surgeries is a good number to obtain expertise in a specific surgery. However, the number of surgeries, academic titles, ivy league names and a variety of other ways to impress patients do not necessarily convert into trustworthiness. Nurses and some other surgical staff who work with a surgeon directly would probably be the best judges. Asking office staff if a doctor is good, while in the office, is probably not helpful. The next best way to know would be to read surgeon's reviews and analyze theirs before and after pictures. Only perfect results and reviews are red flags for fake reviews. Very good and very bad reviews are red flags as well for fake good reviews. Good consistent results and reviews are likely true. if there are bad reviews, read those, those may have nothing to do with the surgeon's skills. Feeling overall comfortable with your surgeon is probably important as well. Best. A. Shteynberg, M.D., F.A.C.S.Diplomate, American Board of Plastic SurgeryNew York, NY.
Hello, djcacciatore123. Tummy tuck and breast lift are commonly performed together. A tummy tuck is a more involved procedure after which there will be a 3-4 week period when patients stand and walk in a hunched position. That position will result in significant back muscle straining. Breast lift recovery is easier, with less discomfort. Considering your occupation, I would recommend preparing to take at least 4 weeks off and start working with a lighter schedule for the first few weeks. Best. A. Hello FairWanderer. Old generations of silicone implants had a very liquid silicone which does easily spread during implant removal if the capsule ruptures. I have removed and replaced old implants, it takes more time and requires more skills to maintain capsule integrity during dissection for as long as possible. If some silicone spills out, it needs to be meticulously washed out. In my mind, there may be significant risks from anesthesia due to your mother's age and I would consider performing surgery under sedation with local anesthesia if it is true. Best. A.
