My breast implant is not dropping, would Prednisone and Singulair help it drop? (Photo)

Sorry about your implant asymmetry. Time is on your side. Most implants settle within a few weeks, but some take longer, even up to six months. The best advice is to follow your surgeon's suggestions. They want a symmetric result too. Singulair is sometimes used in an off-label fashion to help resolve capsular contracture. If your surgeon thinks that is happening, they might recommend it. Some plastic surgeons believe in it, some do not. As for Prednisone, I am not familiar with that being used to correct asymmetry or contracture. Listen to your doctor and follow their suggestions. Give it time, all may settle as you want.

Thank you for your pictures and questions. At this point, it is only 7 weeks from surgery and much too early to be critical of your results. It is going to take 3-6 months for the implants to settle into position and it is not uncommon for one to do that faster than the other. Try to be patient and follow your surgeon's instructions. This is not unusual. It takes time for the implants to drop and sometimes they will drop at different times. I wouldn't be worried about it at this point since is still early. If at 6 months you are having the same issues, I would address it with your surgeon. Continue with the breast massage because this could potentially help. Good luck

It can take months for implants to drop and each side does not always drop at the same pace.  You are still very early post op from surgery.  I would continue to follow your surgeon's post op instructions and try to be patient.  You can also cause issues if you are too aggressive and try to "force" the process.  Hang in there!Dr. Tag

At 7 weeks, you are very early in your recovery period. Give yourself sometime to heal! Drink plenty of fluids and decrease your salt intake to help with any swelling. Call your plastic surgeon and discuss you concerns so he/she can give you instructions and keep a close eye on your progress. Singulair is typically used to help with concerns for capsular contracture. I have not used prednisone for breast augmentations. However, discuss this with your plastic surgeon as he/she may have specific concerns in mind. 

Congratulations on your breast augmentation! It can take three to six months for your breasts to heal and to know the final results of your surgery. At this time, you are only 7 weeks post-op which is still considered early in your recovery. Your breasts will change over the coming weeks and months.Additionally, each breast can heal at a different pace. The implants usually drop after a three months of recovery but it can take up to 6 months to finally get down. I usually recommend my patients to use a breast band in top of the chest, wearing this everyday you will help the implants to get down quicker, It's important to discuss all of your concerns about your condition and the surgery with your surgeon,You are still very early in healing.
