Breasts were fine & nicely rounded 1 week post op after breast aug. I was then instructed to wear a sports bra 2nd week post op. Week 3 post op, I developed indentations. I’ve tried massaging, but it pushes the indentations in more. I developed blue veins on the indentations. Will veins go away in time? I’m 4.5 weeks post op. My surgeon also said this is not a double bubble/bottoming out. Is there anything I can do to rectify this indentation? What are the recourses? Can breast tissue reform?
Answer: Indentation post breast aug Usually an indentation like this can be corrected with time. There are some surgeons who would recommend massaging the area or wearing a special bra that puts different tensions on the breast according to where the indentations are. However, there is no guarantee that this can be completely corrected.

Answer: Breast Augmentation Result I am sorry to hear about your concerns. It is unlikely that a sports bra would have caused these indentations. Based on your photos, it appears that you may be suffering from the double bubble deformity on the right side. In many cases, this issue resolves itself with time in that the curve stretches out and eventually diminishes all together. At 1 month post-op, you are still very early in your healing process. An in-person evaluation will be necessary to properly assess your case and establish the best course of action. I recommend staying in contact with your surgeon regarding these concerns. Best of luck!

Answer: Can an indentation on my breast be corrected? Thank you for your question and photos. I don’t believe that this is caused by your bra. You do have a mild double bubble deformity and most likely it can be corrected with fat grafting at a later date. If the muscle causes too much animation, this will need to be addressed as well. Good luck with your healing.

Answer: It's Not the Sportsbra Hello,Those indentations are your original inframammary fold, which have been lifted off of your chest with the interposition of your implants. Your nipple to fold distance was very short, and you were not a candidate for a circumareolar lift. At this point you will need to heal for at least 6 months and be re-evaluated. Please get a second opinion from an ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeon who specializes in revision breast surgery. Best of luck!

Answer: BA results Dear hollygolightly29,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
