Hello,Thank you for your question. CoolMini can be used under the neck, it will reduce the fat, but it will not help with loose skin. If you have a combination of both, you may consider Profound after your CoolSculpting to tighten the skin. Good luck!
CoolSculpting can work on the neck if your issue is a double chin from excess fat. If you have a turkey neck from loose skin then CoolSculpting would not be the treatment for you. Other treatments such as ThermiTight or Ultherapy can work to improve the loose neck skin. Sometimes a combination of treatments are needed for optimal results. Make sure you find an experienced provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation.
Thanks for your question. Coolsculpting can be done on the chin. It is recommended that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine if you are an ideal candidate and to discuss the treatment plan best suited to you. Regards,
Coolsculpting can be used for the neck, but lacks contouring which is needed in this area. Usually a combination approach is best to get the most improvement. After Coolsculpting, I recommend Kybella with thermage, ultherapy, and exilis to improve results. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is an alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
CoolMini is a great option for the double chin. It is important for your doctor to examine the area to make sure this is the best treatment for you. There are other options such as kybella and liposuction depending on the size of your double chin and multiple other factors. Coolsculpting is an excellent form of non-invasive fat reduction for the right patient. Some applicators take 1 or 2 hours but the new advantage applicators take only 35 minutes and have significantly less risk for delayed onset pain (especially in the abdomen). Results are seen at 2 months and typically 1-3 treatments will be necessary on each area to achieve ideal results. The number of treatments depends on the amount of fat there and the patient's goals. There is not downtime and the results can be impressive in the right patient. We also use the Zimmer Z-wave for improved patient comfort and added results. The best candidates are those who are in pretty good shape with areas of stubborn fat that won't go away no matter what. CoolSculpting can be done on the upper neck (under the chin) to treat excess fat. If there is also excess skin, this issue will not be addressed with CoolSculpting. There are some possible treatment options for excess skin including surgery and non-surgical devices such as radio frequency. An examination of you or photographs of your neck would be needed to give you further advice.
Coolsculpting works on submental fat. It doesn't work on hanging loose skin. I would have a consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon who can evaluate the area. Best of luck!
Non-surgical treatments that reduce volume under the chin include: CoolSculpting and Kybella. Surgical options include liposuction and/or a neck lift. There are also multiple non-surgical procedures to assist with skin tightening that include Laser therapy and radio frequency. If you are in the process of losing weight I recommend that you try to lose the weight first. Otherwise you can always consult a certified physician for recommendation. All the best!
CoolSculpting is a relatively recent favorite for reducing the appearance of a double chin, but it's not as adept at treating "turkey neck" or loss of definition and tone in this area. Nonsurgical treatments such as Ultherapy are better suited for the neck. Depending on the significance of your concerns, a surgical neck lift may also give you the results you want.
Hi,Although good for a double chin, CoolSculpting is not great for a turkey neck. A turkey neck implies loose skin. CoolSculpting does have some mild skin tightening effects, it wouldn't be a first choice for that problem. There are other skin tightening procedures like Thermage or ThermiTight. Also, if you have small amounts of loose skin, MicroNeedling can sometimes help. Hope this helps,Garry K. Kim, MD
