Hello,Thank you for your question. There are several types of applicators. The max is the largest and it will count as two cycles. Most likely you were treated with that. However it's best to call your doctor and ask, just in case. Good luck!
With a larger applicator, it equals 2 cycles in one treatment. If you're concerned, I recommend following up with your provider about your actual treatment. Keep in mind, it will take 3-6 months for final results with Coolsculpting. For best results with Coolsculpting, I recommend a combination approach. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. VASER with ThermiRF is the best alternative, especially for the abdomen, and this can be combined with a Tummy tuck at the same time. I recommend seeing a board certified doctor who is an expert in body shaping for best results. Best, Dr. Emer.
I am not quite sure what you mean by one circle? There are small Advantage applicators and a CoolAdvantage Max applicators. The Max head is 2 small heads in one. It is counted as 2 applicators. If you had 2 Max applicators, it is counted as 4 applicators when pricing the procedure out. The Max applicator takes 45 minutes and the smaller applicators take 35 minutes. You need to contact the provider and find out what applicators were used.
It sounds like you probably had 2 cycles using the CoolAdvantage Plus which is the larger module that treats more than twice the volume of the smaller CoolAdvantage modules (with 35 minute treatment cycles). The larger module "counts" as 2 cycles for pricing purposes but is still a good deal because more than twice the volume of fat is treated. Check with your provider if you have a further question about the treatments you received.
From the description of the areas treated and the length of time it took, one can safely say that you received the 4 cycles you paid for. When assessing someone for the CoolSculpting procedure, we determine how many areas will need to be treated. Each applicator is designed to treat different areas of the body, and uses one cycle for that individual area treated. The larger applicators, which are used to debulk the lower abdomen, use 2 cycles each. These applicators, called CoolAdvantge Plus take 45 minutes to work their magic. It sounds as though they must have treated you with the CoolAdvantage Plus twice, most likely one on each side of the lower abs. If this is the case, you did indeed receive the 4 cycles. I wish you the best with your results.
Hi Peach757- Thank you for your question. There are two sizes of applicators for the abdomen; the "CoolAdvantage" is a standard 1 cycle (5 inches of treatment area) / 35 minute treatment. The "CoolAdvantagePlus+" is a larger applicator double the size, it treats 2 cycles (10 inches of treatment area) / 45 minute treatment. If you paid for 4 cycles and you had 2 treatments for 45 minutes each, it sounds like you had the "CoolAdvantagePlus+" applicator, so you received the treatment you paid for with the larger applicator. The benefit of using the larger applicator is your treatment time. Instead of a 2.5 hour appointment, your treatment plan was accomplished in 1.5 hours.
If each side took 45 minutes, it is likely that you had a large applicator, each use of which is considered two cycles. It can get confusing since some treatments are two cycles and some are one, but it sounds like you had two cycles/treatment for total of four.
Thank you for your question. One cycle is one treatment with a smaller applicator. For the abdomen, a bigger applicator is available and this one equals to two cycles, but in one treatment. Likely you had two areas treated with the bigger applicator. I recommend following with the clinic you had your coolsculpting treatment. I hope this help. All the best,

CoolSculpting removes about 20% of fat from an area at a time. It should be able to help even out your liposuction results – particularly if the CoolMini is used to target some of the lumpiness. Afterward, I'd recommend radial pulsed therapy with Zimmer Z-Wave to help disperse the remaining f...
Hello,Thank you for your question. The older handpieces have more suction so you may experience some more discomfort or bruising. They are still very effective, however the treatment plates don't cover as much area as the newer handpieces. So the results are less. However if you are smaller in...
