I just had Coolsculpting Advantage using two small applicators on my lower abdomen. I had already paid for my flanks, but I am too petite, 5'2" 100lbs, and we couldn't get the smallest applicator to suction, since it was too big. They said we would need to use the older machine. I don't know what to do. I'd rather keep my tiny love-handles than suffer any negative consequence. Can anyone tell me if the old machines are just as good and simply take longer, or if they risks are greater?
Answer: Coolsculpting Hello,Thank you for your question. The older handpieces have more suction so you may experience some more discomfort or bruising. They are still very effective, however the treatment plates don't cover as much area as the newer handpieces. So the results are less. However if you are smaller in that area anyway, that may not be a problem for you. The older handpieces are definitely still effective. You should consult with your doctor and discuss your concerns. Good luck!

Answer: CoolSculpting Cool Advantage There are a number of different CoolSculpting applicators available which vary in size and shape depending on the area and amount of fat being treated. The CoolAdvantage applicator performs the treatment in less time as the temperature is 1 degree cooler. The suction is also less which makes the treatment more comfortable. The results and side effects are essentially the same as the older applicator. The exception is that with the newer applicator the treatment is more comfortable and there is no late-onset pain. We are one of the few places in our area that has every single applicator available. Contrary to popular belief, CoolSculpting is not a one-size-fits-all treatment. Make sure you are being treated by an experienced provider who can determine which applicator, if any, would be most appropriate for you. Best wishes.

Answer: Coolsculpting and Different Applicators We have all of the Coolsculpting applicators - both the old ones and the latest new ones. We use all of them deepening on different size of the patients and they each still have a roll. The older applicators are highly effective. The newer ones have a shorter treatment time and you may feel less pressure from the procedure. Please consult an expert in Coolsculpting for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green

Answer: CoolAdvantage Applicator VS 60 minute Applicator Hi lain0030- The CoolAdvantage applicator "cup" was developed to increase tissue contact with reduced skin tension and reduced treatment time. While it is encouraged to use the CoolAdvantage applicator, some patients are not candidates due to the applicator not fitting correctly on their pocket of fat. If the CoolAdvantage was too large for your body type, ask your provider to try the CoolMini applicator. This applicator is intended to treat smaller pockets of fat (like the chin and knee area). Clinical research proves more tissue is being treated more evenly with the Advantage and CoolMini, so when available it is best to use these applicators over the 60 minute applicator. Also, be sure your provider is a CoolSculpting certified specialist and has been to CSU training.Best of luck!
