This was just one step in my journey and I'm extremely happy with Dr Rigano's facility and staff. I have had a lot of procedures and I researched only the best of the best... Surgeon's that specializes in that procedure.. he helped me make my choice without any pressure. I definitely recommend him!
I'm 5"8 145 pounds 34 A cup. I wanted to be a D cup. My Dr. suggested I go with the ultra high profile as my chest is narrow. He said the 480s or the 535 ultra high profile would be what he used but he would decide which one during surgery. In the end he used the 480cc. Updated on 19 May 2020: I still have swelling on the sides but it's starting to subside on my left. My left breast has dropped a little while my right is still pretty high. My post op appointment is on Thursday. I'll update again after that. Updated on 26 May 2020: Had my stitches out today and saw the incisions for the first time. I think they look really good and are right on the breast crease. As far as activities go, I'm allowed to do almost all physical activities just nothing that works the peck muscles too much. I specifically asked if I can ride my bike and kayak and he said yes but use common sense about the kayaking. Dont do it if you have to paddle the whole time. Updated on 29 May 2020: They have dropped and look a little less square. Not much has changed as far as softness. They are still pretty firm and dont move at all. I'm doing breast massages throughout the day and that will help. My doctor said I had a lot of muscle so I dont expect them to soften quickly. Updated on 12 Jun 2020: The right implant is still high. I still have some nerve pain when lying down but otherwise pain free. They move a little better than last post but not by much. I just have to be patient for them to get soft and move. Updated on 12 Jun 2020: I couldnt add this to the previous post after I submitted it so here's the frontal view. I like them so far but I really hope they even out so the right one isn't higher than the left. I know they probably will but I can't help but worry. Updated on 16 Jul 2020: I am now 2 months out. They look pretty normal at this point but they are still pretty firm. No bounce to them at all. I can barely squeeze them together. I know all that will come with time. With covid I haven't been able to go bra shopping as no fitting rooms are open and VS is not open at all. I did get one from Target that was a size 34DD and it seems to fit just fine. Updated on 16 Jul 2020: Compared to my one month update you can see they are still dropping. I think I still have some more dropping to do before they start to fluff and get soft. They are a little more even than they were last month as well. Updated on 16 Jul 2020: Compared to my one month update you can see they are still dropping. I think I still have some more dropping to do before they start to fluff and get soft. They are a little more even than they were last month as well. Updated on 27 Aug 2020: They have soften up quite a bit although they are still not bouncy or jiggly. I can now squeeze them together pretty easily. As you can see from the pictures my left breast is still a little square on the side. I'm not sure why, but I just assume some stretching still needs to happen and it will eventually round out. Overall I am really happy with how they turned out. Updated on 25 Sep 2020: Not much has changed in how they feel between last post and now. I'm still waiting for my left side to loosen up as much as the right. I really like them, I just hope my muscle will eventually relax more and allow them to be more free...Lol. i have a follow up appointment on October 8th.
After a 70lb weight loss, then pregnancy weight gain and weight loss, my body needed a makeover! I saved for years wanting this and I am so spot I chose Dr. Rigano to work his magic! I am one week post op tummy tuck, liposuction and breast lift! Dr. Rigano made me feel at complete ease from the moment I went in for a consult! He spent about an hour with me during my consultation describing everything in detail so there wouldn’t be any surprises!
With degenerative disc disease, any weight that can be taken off my spine is a good thing. I noticed the amazing "lightness of being" immediately. Ten weeks out, I've been slow to heal and have increased sensitivity. Tossing and turning at night. I tried paper tape which tore my skin. Tried silicone strips, but they, too, caused irritation. After trying many different soft knit sports bras, pads, etc I made an amazing discovery. Fashion Forms brand silicone skin bra. Hope this helps in your healing too!
I just had my initial consultation for breast augmentation with Dr. Rigano in Yellow Springs, Ohio. He may be the nicest person I have ever met! His demeanor makes you feel completely comfortable and since he's been doing this for over 25 years he ends of answering questions you didn't even think to ask! He works with you ton determine what size and type of implant works best with your frame based on the look that you want to achieve, without steering you into a particular direction. When I asked question no about what might be best (no matter what it was, placement, size, projection) he explained pros and cons of each and also let me know what would would work best for me based on what I wanted my breasts to look like. I made an appointment right after the consultation and I can't wait!!! I'm still undecided on size, but he helped me narrow it down and gave me enough info that I'll be able to look online at other women with my same frame and we're gut to determine what I want. I have my pre-op a week before the surgery and we'll do one more set of measurements and make a final decision on on size. I can't wait! I'm 5'6" 180lbs 38C (deflated) I'm getting high profile saline with either 550cc or 600 cc's Updated on 17 Oct 2016: My pre-op with Dr. Rigano is tomorrow and my surgery is next Wed 10/26/16 I'm soooo excited, I've been waiting for this for over 16 years! I'm 43 175lbs 5'7" 38 deflated C (currently) BWD 14 Plan on 500HP Round Silicone, but after looking at so many profiles I am considering 600cc. PS says my stats allow for up to 800cc but also warned me of potential problems with XL implants. So I'm definitely not wanting to go too large since my skin is probably a little softer and thinner since I'm older. I know 500 and 600 isn't much of a difference, so if anyone has any suggestions or pics they want to share I'd love any input from all of you awesome gals before I make my final decision tomorrow at the Pre-op Updated on 18 Oct 2016: Had my pre-op to make my final decision on size. I'm going with 500/525cc or 600/625cc (depending on what looks better when he puts them in) HP Silicone Dual-plane so I should go from a 38c to a 38DD hopefully. I'm super excited, only 7 days left!! Stats: 5'7 170lbs 38 deflated C Updated on 27 Oct 2016: They are final here!!! And even though they are very high and tight, I can tell they are are going to lol great!! I was already able to take a shower and get up and walk around a little. With the help of my family I've been on my pain meds regularly so I'm in almost no pain at all, my husband even sets his alarm to give me them on the middle of the night. The staff was wonderful and Dr. Rigano did an amazing job. They are still snoopyish (is that a word? LOL) but I can tell when they drop and fluff they will be amazing. He did 550cc in left and 600cc in right. Silicone HP Pic with mad chihuahua is before and flowers are 1 day after surgery. I don't know how some of you girls take such amazing pics because mine always seem lopsided and weird haha. But you can still see the changes from before to after Updated on 28 Oct 2016: The pain really isn't as bad as I had anticipated and I have virtually no bruising. I can move a round pretty well, but am totally milking it for the next couple of days since my family is taking such good care of me, hehe. Updated on 30 Oct 2016: I'm not taking anymore pain meds today, just Advil and ice. They are still very high and swollen. They definitely look like snoopy boobs and I need to remind myself that they will eventually drop into the pocket and look amazing, but I will admit it's scary when they don't immediately look perfect. I'm so glad that other ladies post tons of pics during their journey, so I can see their changes and not get discouraged. Updated on 2 Nov 2016: Stats-5'7" 180lbs 500cc/550cc Mentor HP smooth silicone Bi-Lateral Placement So I had my 1 week check up yesterday and got my boobie birthday card from my doctor. Before surgery we talked about maybe doing 550cc/600cc (fixing asymmetry) but my official size is 500cc left and 550cc right. My nipples feel absolutely raw and morning boob is REAL!!! Uuugh! By doc has me massaging my breasts at least 5x a day do prevent capsular contracture and to help them drop. They are still super high and I hate them right now. I didn't even want to post pics, but I am so that any other women that see this, or feel this way know that they aren't alone. I really wanted to come out of surgery looking like a bombshell and even though I read a million profiles of women that said they looked horrible for at least a couple of weeks, I thought they looked great and I wasn't expecting these results. It's not my docs fault, it's my anatomy and I know with time they will be amazing. So here the pics, warning: they look deformed ??? Updated on 2 Nov 2016: The bruising is getting lighter and stitches are healing well. Updated on 3 Nov 2016: I'm feeling so much better today, boobie blues really suck! I'm glad that there is a place for all of us (guys :) and girls) to come and feel so loved and supported during this life changing event. I'm not sure if it was a combo on being tired from not really sleeping well since I've had to sleep on my back, and not having pooed in almost 8 days and mixing in larger implants that were still sore. But I was having a heck of a time loving my new gals. Well I finally got some sleep last night, finally went to the restroom and my boobies finally aren't completely sore and aching when I got up this morning, so I feel great! I looked at the pics I posted earlier and realized that my boobs don't look anything like I was making them out to be, they aren't perfect yet, but there is nothing indicating that they won't be. They are positioned perfectly and will give me the perkiness that was promised when they finally drop and they are huge compared to what I had. I just need to keep massaging them and they will drop into their gorgeous positions in no time. Thanks to all the gals on here that have been so sweet and encouraging, Y'all have been wonderful and I completely appreciate it. Stats: 5'7 -180lbs-500cc -HP-Round -Silicone-Mentor Updated on 7 Nov 2016: I think they are starting to drop a little bit. They aren't as sore and I'm sleeping better. There're still pretty high and tight and I will finally be getting my stitches out tomorrow at my 2 week check up. Victoria's Secret is having a flash sale tonight and it's so hard to not buy a new bra based on what I hope my size will be ): Updated on 19 Nov 2016: So I've been having crazy Boobie blues and was hating that I didn't look exactly like I had imagined I would. Then my right breast got pretty sore from using a staple gun while I was getting my chicken coop ready for this big winter blast we were expecting. Anyways... I was sure that I somehow messed up my boob, so I massaged and iced twice as much as usual and HOT DAMN! It must have helped them drop a little because I woke up this morning and they look amazing! My cousin showed up today to stay for the week of Thanksgiving and asked what kind of bra I had on because my Tatas looked huge yet perky!!! What??? I had on a super stretchy sports bra and I hadn't told anyone in my family that I had surgery, I didn't go huge and I figured nobody would notice anyways. Totally knocked me right out of my funk!!! I was having some serious boob greed and wished I had asked for at least 700cc. I've seen a lot of women say that around 3 months is when they really look great and for the first month you may not even want to look at them, so I try to remember that when I feel like they're too small. They definitely have a lot more dropping to do and a heck of a lot of fluffing, but they are finally starting to turn into the amazing boobies that my PS promised. I'll upload progress pics tomorrow Updated on 26 Dec 2016: I can't believe it's been 8 weeks since my surgery, it seems like it's been sooo much longer!! I will admit I've had Boobie greed on more than one occasion, but love having the ability to keep them concealed when "big ol boobies" are called for Lol!! I have gained some weight over the holidays which I feel my my girls look smaller, but now that I'm feeling better I'll be back in the gym starting tomorrow!! Updated on 9 May 2017: Hi ladies! I haven't updated in a while, so I thought I'd post a pic or two :) Updated on 9 May 2017: Hi everyone, I haven't posted in a while and figured I'd add a few pics to show how much they have changed!! I absolutely love them. Updated on 15 Aug 2017: I was kinda sad with my boobies for a while. I'm sooo impatient and even though my PS said it takes larger implants a little longer to settle, I wanted perfect results immediately. Well they finally seem to be changing into exactly what I wanted! I'm so happy
I am in pretty good shape.. I walk more than 13 miles 6days a week and work out about 3-4 times a week and could never get rid of that big mommy pouch :( ! I had dreamed for many years of having something done but never took it to serious until recently... I wanted my self esteem back! One of my friends had a BA done and they looked amazing so I got some info from her and upon meeting Dr William Rigano I just felt extremely comfortable and confident that he knew what I wanted and He gave me exactly what I had asked for:) ! I couldn't be more greatful for what he has done for me!!! Form his bedside manner to his professional advice and experience I would absolutely recommend Dr Rigano!!! He knows what he is doing for sure:) !!!
I have enjoyed reading everybody's story for months. It is helped me tremendously. I never planned on sharing my story but I had such an awesome experience I just had to share!! I have wanted this done for as long as I can remember. I have to kids. I breast-fed my daughter which left my breast very deformed looking. My right breast was a 34aa and my left was a 34a. I actually was scheduled to see a different doctor at first, but his bedside manner was horrible. I'm so happy I found Dr. Rigano instead. This morning at 6 was the big day!! I woke up every hour on the hour last night, due to nerves and excitement. I can not stress how wonderful everyone was. All I remember was walking into the operating room and how cold it was. The nurses quickly put a heating blanket on me. After that I woke up in recovery. My husband told me Dr. Rigano had used 350cc in my right side and 275cc in my left. (Has anyone had that big of a cc difference before?) I ended up with smooth round mentor hp. Im also allowed to get my incisions wet. I can shower when ever I want. Recovery at the hospital was not bad at all. I was there maybe an hour. The nurse had gave me a Percocet before I went home. When I got home my two-year-old baby girl ran up to me and wanted me to pick her up. I immediately sat on the floor and gave her a hug. I was worried about what I was going to tell the other kids. My two step kids ages 15 (boy) and 10 (girl) did not know about the surgery. They both looked surprised when I told them I had surgery. They just said I looked really tired. I told the 15-year-old that I no longer have boobs that look like his. Lol! I just told them both that I wanted to fix my deformed pitiful boobs. I know I just had surgery this morning but I feel really good. Surprisingly good. I pray it stays this way. I actually did some really light housework right when I got home. My doctor prescribed me Percocet and some nausea medicine. He also told me to take 600 mg of ibuprofen three times a day. As of right now I feel this is one The best decisions I've ever made. I can't believe I waited so long. I'm so excited to have clothes fit me now. I also love the fact that I now look like a woman instead of a 12-year-old little girl. I would love to be in contact over the site with other women that have went through this. None of my friends have had breast augmentations and my mom passed away three years ago. So basically I have no one to talk to that gets it. I apologize in advance if there are errors. I'm still pretty loopy from the medicine. I apologize in advance for any errors, i'm still pretty loopy because of the medicine. Thanks to everybody that took the time to read my story. If you have any questions feel free to ask. God bless every single one of you ladies xoxoxo????
Loved dr.rigano. Did a great job. He was so welcoming, kind, and caring. Wouldn't go to any other surgeon. He told me step by step what was going to happen. I was able to call when I had questions. Very happy with the outcome. It's been over 1 year now and I am still satisfied with the results. I recommend him for anyone.
I was having abdominoplasty to get rid of an apron of skin that had a large horizontal scar under it, the result of a lot of surgeries on my ovaries and bladder years ago. So, as I was having a TT anyhow, I decided to also tighten up my jaw line which was starting to get some pockets of fat on each side. The surgeon just went in the tiny scar from the first time I had chin liposuction, in 1990, when I was 48 and had a "pelican neck", which I hated. I wore the surgical chin strap for a week, then only wore it at night, but it felt like I was being choked and I hated it. My surgeon said by that time, everything is "tucked up" and just needed healing time; I did not have to wear the strap anymore, praise God. I have had NO pain with the chin procedure, though I will go back if I feel I want a neck lift in a few years. Will just have to wait and see. I think both procedures (the TT and chin lipo) were well worth it!
Hi everyone. I'm scheduled for BA/TT 29 Mar. My second preop is 19 Mar. My PS is recommending subglandular but after reading reviews I'm torn. I'm active duty military and just finished a 1yr deployment in Afghanistan where I lost 30lbs. I'm excited. Has anyone went the subglandular route? If so I'd love to hear your thoughts... Updated on 22 Mar 2013: Preop went great. Decided on 300cc below muscle. Nervous but super excited. Now to find something to do to enjoy my last weekend before surgery... Updated on 26 Mar 2013: Spoke with my Dr and he said he'll do over or under. I really enjoy crossfit and I'm not sure if unders are the best choice. Has anyone had any issues lifting weights after surgery Updated on 29 Mar 2013: Okay ladies. The girls finally arrived. Went with the overs (300 silicone ccs) pain is relatively low but I'm drowsy. TT is another story. Stomach is on fire. I will post better pics soon. So far no regrets. Happy healing my sisters!!! Updated on 5 Apr 2013: Definitely worth the money. My pain is manageable and I'm getting stronger each day. Supposed to be headed back to work 15 Apr...hope I'm ready. Happy healing ladies!!!
Higher profile or narrower implants can push nipples out when cleavage is priority over chest symmetry. Implant width is always a consideration and can improve the appearance. An experienced PS can help.
You look good with minor bruising. Do not over exert yourself and follow your PS instructions. Your photos look good at this interval. Looks like you picked a good PS.
A mastectomy, even a nipple sparing will cause diminished sensation to the skin and nipple. Sensation can slowly improve after mastectomy, but it is diminished significantly. Excess skin can be removed at the time of NSM and an implant can be used if experience is used. We do this commonly on healthy women in one stage.Check out the photos.
I prefer a less than 2 inch incision in the crease at the base of the breast. This access puts me between your nerves and close to the muscle release points. I do use around the areola incision for saline implants without problems.
I am glad you feel good at this time. Be smart and take it easy with your pectoral muscles. Do not over use your arms. A tell patients a bra provides support for 3-4 weeks, especially at night to limit migration.
