Hi. With my patients that have an incision below the breast, I release them to wear an underwire bra by 6 weeks. You may wish to check the healing of your incision by holding a mirror below your breast to visualize it-make sure there is no redness, skin edge separation, etc. You may even consider wearing some gauze or padding (panty liners work well) to cushion the incision if there are any concerns. Best wishes and enjoy your new look!
Thank you for your question. As long as you have completely healed it is perfectly fine for you to wear an underwire bra 6 weeks after a breast augmentation.
Thank you for your question. In general, it is safe to wear an underwire bra six weeks following surgery. Most of my patients have breast augmentation through an axillary incision (under the arm) so the incision is not an issue. Some patients may find that an underwire bra might be uncomfortable earlier than 6 six weeks if they have an incision under the breast. Always best to check with your own plastic surgeon for their recommendation. I hope this helps.
Hi kristy434, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including wearing of bra) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Hello @kristy434 and thank you for your question. The post-operative instructions that I give to my patients is to wear a bra without an underwire for at least the first 2 months after breast augmentation surgery. That said, all surgeons have their own postoperative guidelines. I suggest that you consult with your plastic surgeon for his or her post-operative instructions. Hope this helps.James Lee, MDBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon Montreal, Canada
It certainly is safe, however all surgeons have guidelines for activity and types of bras after surgery. I recommend that you inquire of your surgeon for guidance. In my practice, I recommend not using wired bras until one month after surgery, at which time they can wear any type of bra, or none. I also allow them to resume full physical activity at that time without restrictions.
Thank you for your questionCheck with your surgeon as he/she may have different post op instructions. I tell my patients they are ok to wear underwire at 6 weeks as long as their incisions are healed as it should be.Regards
Hello and thank you for the question. As long as your incision has healed, it should be fine to wear a wired bra. It's always a good idea to talk to your surgeon. Best,Pejman Aflaki, M.D.Johns Hopkins-trained plastic surgeon
In general as long as you’re happy with how the breasts look then an underwire bra will be fine at four weeks postoperatively. The only time I counsel my patients not to wear them is if their implants are too high still. In other words if the implants look like they need to settle more I have them wait on wearing underwire push-up bras
Thank you for sharing your question. If you had a breast crease incision, and have not suffered any wound healing issues, you should be safe to use an underwire bra 6 weeks after surgery. Hope this helps.
It is difficult to gauge how a scan will do after a breast augmentation. I like to cut out all breast scars if I am going to be using that incision to perform my breast augmentation. My best recommendation would be for you to have a plastic surgeon examine your breast...
Hi It’s very unlikely to get CC that soon. Best speak to your surgeon as there may be a lot of settling to do All the best Nilesh Sojitra
Most private establishments allow both acrylic nails and eye lash extensions. it should not be a problem
