Worried about my FUE 2500 graft 6 month post op. Poor growth / density, can this be fixed? (photos)

It is difficult to assess your concerns without seeing the photos before surgery.  This being said, at this point you should start to see regrowth of the transplant but it is prudent to wait at least 10 months to a year to see the final outcomes.  A secondary procedure can be considered after that time to achieve more density.  However, speak with your hair transplant surgeon to rule out other causes of poor hair regrowth.  

It may take 8-12 months before seeing the final results of your hair transplant surgery. If you are concerned with the density and shape, follow up with your surgeon for an exam.

Hello, It is early to expect to see the final results. You should wait for a minimum of 1 year to see the outcome. Now, the shedded hair will come back and the result will start to be visible.

6 months post op is early to determine final density of the transplanted hair. I would make an appointment with your surgeon around 8-12 months post op and in the interim i would consider medical therapy such as propecia to minimize shock loss and maintain native hair. I have attached a video on finasteride for you to review.

First regrowth should be observed on 3-3.5 months after surgery. Regrowing hair is thin, undersized and not bright untill 4-5 th months of hair transplant. İt's normal for new growing hair starting to get native characteristics, waviness, curl in first 6-7 months..This actually takes 10-13 months for hair to become full mature , as thick and bright  as native hair. 

Good day sorry to hear that you are unhappy.. First i will say it is very early in the stage.. 9 months to 1 year is where you will see full growth.I would give it at least 1 year .. if after a year you are still unhappy i would return to your hair transplant physician and discuss further options.. The doctor always wants their patients happy.... i would also think of using Rogaine or taking propecia ...

6 months is too short to determine the final outcome. I would wait longer to see what the results are after the hair has fully been allowed to regrow. Note that the density may look worse when viewing the had from a top down view rather than when being looked at straight-on, because of the direction of hair shaft growth. Ultimately if you are still unhappy despite allowing adequate time to pass, then further FUE grafting to the area could be an option to improve patches without hair growth. 

Six months is too early to assess results, so i would give things some time.  In addition, I like to have my patients apply Rogaine once a day to help accelerate regrowth.

This really is the wrong place for you to get the answers you are looking for. You need to get back in front of your surgeon, review the photos and notes and have a long discussion about results and your expectations. We cannot know any of these nuances since we do not know the essential details about your case. In the meantime, keep up with your post operative hair maintenance program including finasteride and Rogaine. 

If you're expectations are not met, you should return to see your surgeon and have a one-on-one discussion with him/her about what the growth should be. I always tell my patients that there are two people who must be happy the patient and me. I always strive to meet my expectations and communicate them in that way.
