There is no exact distance for it, the frontal hair line supposed to be tailored for each individual. Your frontal muscle width, present donor capasity, wish is also important. It is stiil too early to see your result. Please be patient for at least 9 months.

It may take 8-12 months before seeing the final results of your hair transplant surgery. If you are concerned with the density and shape, follow up with your surgeon for an exam.

Thank you for posting this question. The hairline may be too high, but remember, the hairlines that are placed during a hair restoration surgery must be timeless. The hairline will be with you forever, as the results are permanent. In general a hairline would be about 1.5 cm above the highest furrow in your frontalis muscle in the midline. This is this is the muscle that raises the eyebrows, and created horizontal furrows or wrinkles in the forehead. Thank you for your question. You are early in the recovery process as the regrowth phase begins 3-4 weeks after your hair falls out. You should begin to see a fuller head of hair through the 5 months from that point. Please continue to work with your board certified facial plastic surgeon and medical team to review your progress.

The position of the hair line depends on a lot of factors e.g. the reserve you have, the amount of hair loss, ... Usually hairline is about 1-2 fingers higher than the highest crease or 8-10 cm from the brow. If significant number of hair is lost, we usually place the hairline higher to have adequate number of grafts for other areas. 72 days post surgery is too soon to see final results. 80 percent of the grafts will grow between 8-12 months post your procedure.

There are several ways to decide where your hairline should be placed, including measuring 8-10 from the brow, 1-2 fingertips above the highest forehead wrinkle or dividing the face into three equal parts- chin to bottom of nose, bottom of nose to brow and brow to hairline being equal.  In a person with significant hairloss the brow can be placed higher to preserve grafts that will be needed elsewhere.  When you go in for your postop visit you can discuss hairline placement with your surgeon.  It's always easy to lower a hairline if desired but very difficult to correct one that is placed too low.

It looks high but to be sure, lift your eyebrows high so that your forehead creases, and the hairline should be one finger breadth higher than the highest crease of your furrowed brow
