Had Breast Implants 10months ago.Didn't go with large implants,I was a C cup but due to weight loss got deflated.Had 280cc UHP over muscle. After Augmentation Dr said I can get away with a crescent lift but will look at it later.I was wondering how advisable is a crescent lift? I have heard many negative things. Will getting a crescent lift cause my skin to tear around the aerola? Or flatten it?Reason I ask is with implants you never know if they will add tension to the skin?
Answer: Breast Lift Hi Self conscience, Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often use an implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. Breast lift surgery aims to re-volumize the breast with either and natural implant or fat grafting followed by nipple repositioning using the lift. I prefer to use a vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern for more significant lifts. This reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. Mastopexy that requires less than 2cm of lift only needs a donut incision. Every incision is also closed in five precise layers without using reactive sutures that can cause inflammation and eventual scarring. If you are considering a breast lift, you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and make sure your surgeon understands your goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Breast augmentation and crescent lift Your nipple position is very acceptable. Placing a scar on the most visible part of the breast for the possibility of some minor benefit would make that procedure unreasonable. Good luck.

Answer: Not a fan of the crescent lift I have never been a fan of the Crescent lift. I think all it does is stretch out the areola. Also because you have ultra high profile implants my suspicion is your nipple may be appearing to point down just a bit because of the implant projection. So I would not suggest you do any lifting of your nipple at this point.

Answer: Crescent lift Hi. Bad idea. Don't do it. You have a very good result thus far - there is no reason to do anything further and leave visible scars on the breast mound for no benefit whatsoever.

Answer: Cresent Lift after Breast Augmentation Great question! The crescent lift is essentially worthless in my experience. I stopped doing them about 14 years ago but I still see them done, unfortunately. They typically raise the areola by essentially just pulling it up and causing a very aesthetically unpleasing areolar shape and scar. The limited lift will not reduce stretch marks either. Be careful what you ask for and please make sure you see a board certified plastic surgeon.
