I flew in from the UK to have Dr Marin fix my deviated septum, nostril blockage, breathing issues and also to have slight cosmetic corrections on my nose. I chose Dr Marin because he makes everyone’s nose look flattering for their face, instead of giving everyone the same type of nose. He was also confident is his ability help with my breathing problems. He was able to do a video consultation with me, then I met him before the surgery and he made me feel really comfortable with what I was going to experience. The staff and nurse (Kinzie, Julia, Laura, and Rachelle) were so friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome in the clinic. The surgical center was very clean and calming and the operation went smoothly. The pain level was surprisingly low after the surgery. Dr Marin was available to answer all of my questions throughout my recovery. And of course, I am thrilled with my results and so thankful for Dr Marin for giving me the gift of being able to breathe through my nose for the first time!! I would recommend Dr Marin to all my friends and family!
I've gotten injectables two times so far with Dr. Marin. Both were great experiences! He helps you achieve natural results, and doesn't make you look frozen or over done at all. He walks you through the process as he's doing it so there aren't any surprises. As an incentive for posting a review, this reviewer received an entry into RealSelf’s monthly $500 gift card giveaway.
I researched off and on for about a year before I found Dr. Marin. I knew I would need a lift after breast feeding 3 kids, and wanted implants to make them bigger/fuller. I think before, and after pictures are so important when it comes to choosing a surgeon. Dr. Marin had so many patients that had before pictures similar to my same before breasts and afters that looked exactly like my wish breasts. My top 3 desired goals were: perkier/ fuller breasts, a more natural look, and smaller areolas. He achieved all three, with a peri-areolar lift, 485cc Natrelle Inspira Soft Touch implants placed under the muscle, and GalaFlex internal bra to support the implants! Dr. Marin kept my goals realistic, as my breasts had lost elasticity from breastfeeding, and they wouldn't be able to hold too large of an implant. The staff is amazing, and made scheduling all my appointments easy. This was my first surgery so I was nervous about going under anesthesia. The surgery center is beautiful and looks more like a day spa. When I went back into surgery they had music going and the ceiling had different colorful LED lights, and before I knew it I was waking up from surgery. I'm so glad I found Dr. Marin and will definitely go to him again if I have any other surgeries!
Yesterday was my final check up, my 1 year since my breast surgery with Dr. Marin. I became a bit emotional after leaving because Dr. Marin did something that other surgeons were not able to accomplish in 4 other breast surgeries- to make me look normal, and not only normal but good. I had a double mastectomy (but I got to keep my nipples). The first 4 surgeries with other doctors left them full of ripples, and my left breast (implant) would fall into my armpit when I lied down. Dr. Marin was honest with me from the beginning about what it would involve to get the results I wanted and he set realistic expectations. I actually did not think they would look this good. Let's just say no one can even tell I've had a mastectomy, because of Dr. Marin. The other thing I want to acknowledge is that all of the staff has always been very kind to me and that I always felt safe and respected with Dr. Marin. After going through some really traumatic sexual harassment by a different doctor (not at Marin Aesthetics) you have no idea how important it is to feel safe and respected with your doctor, especially a breast surgeon. I made the right decision and I'm so extremely grateful!
I had my first baby at 17, I am now 28 with a total of four babies. I breast fed all four of my kids.I felt and looked like my youth was taken away. It took me a long time to find the perfect doctor and the right time to be able to get my surgery done. And after a long time of searching and saving I found the best; Dr. Vincent Marin. He listens to what you want and yet still advises what he thinks is best based off your anatomy, but tries 100% to reach your end goal. He absolutely EXCEEDED my expectations with his work. I am so happy with my results thus far. I am in pain of course , but we know that's normal. I feel like I'm 17 again even with my bandages and bruises! He brought my youth back and I am forever grateful to have found him!! I can't wait to see the end result all healed up! Updated on 17 Jan 2021: I love my new shape! Dr. Marin has a great eye to do the best for your natural anatomy. I am beyond happy with my results. I cannot wait to hit the weights to build the muscle to keep this beautiful shape.
Very professional and personable surgeon. He listens to what your goals are and helps you achieve what you’re wanting! The entire staff in his office is awesome. Very pleased with my results! If you’re in the San Diego area you should go in for a consultation.
I just passed my one year mark since getting breast augmentation. From the consultation to this anniversary, everything was perfectly executed. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Marin, Amber, Kinzie, and the rest of the staff. Facility: Both Dr. Marin's office in La Jolla and the surgical center where my surgery was performed are immaculate. Dr. Marin's office seems more like a spa than a clinic, and has a wonderful welcoming atmosphere. Staff: Kinzie is there to greet you with a bright, contagious smile and amazingly warm personality. She is on top of her game with scheduling and phone call reminders. Amber is the Clinical Director and made me feel comfortable and special, and not just a patient number on a medical form. She was part of my consultation and even showed up when I came out of surgery to cheer me on and check on me -- that meant so much to me. Dr. Marin: Hands down the most professional, honest, knowledgeable, and skilled doc in the game. I trusted him with every aspect of my surgery and he came through for me all the way. He answered all of my questions in satisfying detail before, during, and after my surgery. Results: I cannot be more happy with the size, shape, look, and feel of my new "girls" -- I provided visual and descriptive examples of what I wanted them to look like and Dr. Marin tailored my implants to be exactly that. Expectation Reality. Tips: Find photos of what you want your results to look like -- the more examples the better. Be descriptive and detailed with your desired outcome. Call Dr. Marin. Ask as many questions as you want to feel completely comfortable with your decision. Relax and get ready for your new adventure!
Dr Marin And his team exceeded all my expectations! He and his staff are top notch in every way! Dr. Marin is unique in that he has the ability to make you feel extremely comfortable and welcome within the first few minutes of meeting him. I knew within the first 10 minutes of my consultation that he was the perfect fit. He spent well over two hours and two consultations with myself and my husband. He listened to everyone one of my concerns and assured me that I would be extremely happy with my results. He genuinely cares about each and every patient and treats you as an individual. And the icing on the cake; he’s super friendly and pretty dang funny but he is also genuine, professional, confident, extremely knowledgeable and detailed. He is truly an expert at his profession. I am beyond satisfied with my results! He and his team nailed it. A big shout out and Thank you to Dr. Marin, Amber, Rachelle and Kinzie! I seriously love you guys!
My op was at 7-45 am in a modern well-equipped surgery center. my anesthesiologist was a very nice lady) she spoke calm and gentle. Dr.Marin was very professional, he was in a good mood and it gave me confidence. My mommy makeover included breast lift with anchor scar + silicone implants + tummy tuck + liposuction of my waist. We discussed all that I want and all that I can expect with Dr.Marin on the pre-op appointment. He said that he will decide about the implant’s size during the operation. We decided that I need a low profile because I would like more natural breast view. I was worried a bit that we did not make a final decision about the implant’s size. But I have made a decision in my mind that I need to trust my doctor. My operation lasted 9 hours. Dr said everything was good during the operation. My husband and kids pick me up from the surgery center and it was the hardest part. I felt weak, dizziness, nausea, I was out of my self. like a ghost. lol. But I had to transfer from a wheelchair to my car. We rent a hotel next to the surgery center. Because we live in 1 hour away from the century center. Girls, I can’t imagine if I was alone. My husband is my saver. He did everything - pills, water, pillows, he changed the urine catheter. I couldn’t even move without his help. I have read recovery story of other girls and they were alone in a hotel- they are definitely superwoman ;-)) Night was very hard. I felt all the scars and lipo areas (doctor have made waist, back) I took Percocet every 6 hours. But I should take it every 4 hours! it would be much easier. I have never taken Percoset and I was scared of overdose ^_^ the hardest was that my back got numb because I lay still for a long time Updated on 30 Mar 2019: I had an appointment with Dr.Marin today. I had oatmeal for a breakfast ( it was my first meal for 24 hours) When I arrived at the doctor’s office Amber helped me to take off a urine catheter, bandage from my breast. I did not see any results because I felt bad and just wanted to sleep. I was don’t care about results in that day)) Dr.Marin said perfect boobs and perfect tummy- it was enough for me to be sure that everything goes well. He informed me that he took off about 5 pounds of tissues from my tummy and 2 liters of fat from my waist. I still had a drain cattier and pain pills.(Percoset and Valium) The evening was not bad but I had temperature 100,3. Amber said that it is normal. Since I took Percocet every 4 hours I slept very good and felt much better than the previous day and night. Also, I have big bruises on lipo area- I guess it is normal too. Updated on 30 Mar 2019: i know my dates not the same as realself's dates, because i started review later that operation was comlete . Today I woke up by myself at night because my husband was sleep and I didn’t want to disturb him more than those previous days. Morning was good, I had a breakfast, made some photos in a mirror. Cleaned a bathroom)) when I start to clean something during illness- this is the sign for me that I am gettin better. Lol All in all, today I have energy to work on my laptop a bit and I got an appetite. I stand up by myself from the bed and laying down too. In the evening time i have temperature 100,3 within 1-2 hours. I took percoset and diazepam before night only . Night was good. Updated on 30 Mar 2019: I have made a decision do not take percoset every 4 hours. I changed percoset to Tylenol. Now is 14:55 and I didn’t take today percoset and I am ok. A bit discomfort but i want to leave percoset only for a nigh time. Took some pictures. Washed my hair. Walk around a house couple times Updated on 30 Mar 2019: Today night was good. But I woke up at 5 am I feel sick from nausea. I think it’s because I didn’t eat at evening time. I had an empty stomach. All in all everything the same. I didn’t take Percoset. Only a couple of Tylenol. The only thing I noticed-yellow liquid inside the drain instead of red color. But Amber said it’s perfectly normal. Updated on 31 Mar 2019: I did not take any pills. Antibiotics are over. Everything is extremely itchy. Feel not good from 6 am till 10 am because want to poop but can’t. Only after breakfast. After breakfast feel much better. Today was a bit nervous. I read that there is some kind of depression after surgery (some girls are suffering “why I did it with my body”). I am trying to control this thought. I am trying to think positive. I think that this is side effect from Percoset - this is drug all in all)) My husband said that my boobs are huge now and why I did not leave my own boobs. This is definitely not what I wanted to hear. I feel better every day. And I think my body will different in 1 month! It will be more beautiful. Updated on 5 Apr 2019: Walking, eating, laying. Feel good. It’s the 2nd day when I have strong diarrhea after antibiotics. as a result - hemorrhoids. This is the worst recovery thing. I feel pain there more than anywhere on my body after mommy makeover. all in all, everything goes well Updated on 9 Apr 2019: Still, have big hemorrhoid. Yesterday Amber took off a black string from my scars. From boobs, tummy. Took off the drain. Everything was good. Just wait for my body will be recovered:-) now boobs have a scary shape- i really hope it will change in 1-2-3 month Updated on 24 Apr 2019: my bruises decreased. i feel more comfortable. my scars are healing without any problems. I have some ugly pimples on my boobs. I have never had it before. I don't know the reason. Maybe it is because of the synthetic material of sport's bra, maybe because of hormonal disbalance. I don't know. still waiting for implants to move down and become softer. all in all, recovery going good )) Updated on 21 May 2019: hello everyone! I feel so comfortable now. i do not feel any pain. but i steel have a different waist. if you wear tight clothes, it is very noticeable. The doctor said we can't judge until 6 months have passed. Updated on 27 Jun 2019: hello everyone! my boobs look great) they become lower and much softer. tummy has a bit swollen but still flat. skin problem on my neckline did not resolve. I will try to take probiotics to heal it. Waist still different, but Dr. Marin promised me if we will see the same problem after 3 month- he will do mini lipo with my left waist. Updated on 13 Jan 2020: hello. my tummy is great. I feel good. I have a good scar. my best swelling is gone and implants came down a bit. it became lower than I've expected. I know I wanted as much as possible natural boobs, but I think they will be lower every year. Probably i did not understand for sure how it will look like. I will need a correction surgery in the future. After 10-month post-op i still have not symmetrical waist. Dr. Marin said that I will probably need new surgery to fix my left side. It looks bigger than right. But we need to wait several months to be sure that the left side is not swollen. It means i am in healing process. Updated on 27 Aug 2021: my boobs look natural as I asked my doctor. I think I expect another shape, but I asked a doctor maximum of natural and he did the best. so now I think my request to dr.marin was wrong. my skin turned out to be more stringy than i expected. probably in 5-10 years, i will make a breast correction, maybe not. i don know now.lol Updated on 14 Jun 2022: My surgery was almost 3 years ago. I think I need one more plastic surgery because my results now are too far from what i wanted. My boobs became saggy, now I am upset about that. My goal photo is the same doctor's work. I discuss this photo with doctor Marin before surgery. I do not think that is my skin issue and I have what I have just because my skin stretched out. I think that implants were placed too low and too far from each other. For a beautiful neckline, I have to wear super push up(not regular ones). I definitely do not like that.
Wow words can not describe how happy I am right now!! I had a rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Marin about a week and a half ago and even now where I am still swollen, I am absolutely blown away with my new nose!! My confidence is through the roof and I owe it all to him...from start to finish, Marin Aesthetics has been absolutely amazing from Kinzie, to Amber, Rachelle and Dr. Marin. Just genius, simply the best!! Thank you Dr. Marin!!
Hi! A chin implant in this case is counterproductive since the operation involves adding solid silicone to your chin, thus giving it additional volume. The procedure more appropriate for you is osseous genioplasty, which can enhance your facial profile by modifying the skeletal structure of your chin. This allows the surgeon to remove excess bone and make a chin smaller or less prominent.
Judging by your photos, I think you have a mild case of gynecomastia. Gynecomastia is the enlargement of the male breasts due to a hormonal imbalance in testosterone and androgen. I think that a simple liposuction procedure is enough to solve your issue since it can already remove the little amount of excess fat in your breasts. A more definitive answer would require an exam by your treating doctor to give you the best answer.
There are multiple tummy tuck techniques. And based on the photo, I’d say that the patient had a standard tummy tuck. This technique tightens the entire abdominal wall – from just above the pubic bone all the way up to a little below the breast bone. I’d also say that the patient combined her tummy tuck with a liposuction. The two often go hand in hand since liposuction can improve the body contour by eliminating excess fat around the abdomen.
Hi. The said procedures involve creating multiple incisions that are too close to each other. I’d suggest holding it off for a bit since your nose will still swell and need time to heal from a rhinoplasty. Proceeding with a lip lift following a rhinoplasty too soon may compromise the blood supply needed for a smooth recovery from the two procedures.
Hi! Patients can have the two of them in one go. But since you have recently had a rhinoplasty, I’d suggest that you wait until your incisions have healed before proceeding to a brow lift. Normally, this would be between 3-4 months to ensure the nose is well healed.
