I got 600cc under muscle with an uplift in december 2020. For health reason i want to remove my implants, will my breasts need another uplift? Will they be very saggy over the large implants? Thanks
Answer: Aesthetics after implant removal After implant removal, your skin will contract back in a positive way over the first few months following surgery. I am optimistic that your aesthetics will end up in a good place as your skin envelope appears taught now with nipple/areolas in great positioning. Be patient during the healing process - skin will change and contract.

Answer: Second uplift possible Generally speaking, the larger the implants the higher the tendency for sagging. The extent to which they sag for you would be difficult to predict.

Answer: Results after Explant In your situation, with the implants removed there will definitely be deflation / significant loss of volume. With that will come some element of nipple areolar descent / downward migration. I don't think you have to rush into another lift. I think it's best to remove the implants and see how it heals. If the nipple are too low for you then you could always move forward with a lift. We perform explant / breast implant removal in the office under local anesthesia with oral sedation. We also perform breast lifts in the office under local anesthesia. No general anesthesia required. You may be a candidate for breast fat transfer after full healing of the explant. This will depend on you having enough excess subcutaneous fat either in the arms, abdomen, flanks, love handles, hips, or thighs.

Answer: Implant removal and lift Dear Original_1993, it is hard to tell for sure how will your breasts look after implant removal. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Lift or no lift It is likely that the large implants will have stretched the skin envelope. Your skin will retract to some degree after the implants are removed but they may look like empty pockets depending on the amount of natural breast tissue you have. If you are wanting a perkier look you will likely need a breast lift to reshape the breasts. I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Do i need a second uplift after explant? Hello @Original_1993, thank you for your question. To answer the question, it ultimately depends on the results that you are looking for. The most important factor in deciding which technique(s) to use is the opinion of your plastic surgeon, who will have assessed factors such as skin laxity, breast size and shape, and other individual characteristics that can determine the best approach. I always perform an explantation with total capsulectomy, followed by immediate reconstruction using BRALAN (Breast Reconstruction Anatomical Lift Augmentation) in order to provide anatomical projection to the breast (upper pole) and to provide a lift to the breast. I link a video to shed more light. If you are considering a breast explantation, consultation with a plastic surgeon who is experienced in this procedure is essential to ensure optimal results.
