I had a breast lift done 10 years ago and starting to see some signs of sagging again. Would it be best to have lift redone now or wait. Also, would I be able to do implants this time? I chose not to have implants placed due to having concerns over implant complications. I feel that my results would have lasted longer if I had implants to maintain fullness. Secondly, will I still require the “anchor” incision again? Hoping I won’t have as much scarring. I had done laser scar removal.

Answer: Breast lift revision. Will I still require the “anchor” incision again? Without posted photos and the benefit of physical exam - it's difficult to comment accurately. Revision surgeries are complex and require a customized approach, including measurements, exam and accurate photos. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS to review the options

Answer: Relifting the Breasts After Previous Breast Lift A lift is always a possibility after having a previous lift. The best way to give advice on your situation is to review current photos of your breast and perform a live video consultation at a minimum. Ideally an in-person consultation is performed to allow for a complete examination of your breasts including measurements, current scar evaluation, volume assessments. It would nice to have a copy of your previous operative report to fully understand how the previous lift was performed inside the breast. Breast lifting techniques can vary and may dictate how the breasts are approached for a secondary procedure. We perform breast lifts in our office under local anesthesia. If an implant is added to the procedure then this requires general anesthesia.
