I had a lower face and neck lift that Im happy with. But it was enhanced with fat transfer to my upper face: cheeks, forehead, brows, and sub brow region. As a result, I have a pillow face. My cheeks stick out to the side of the face (skull-like look) and sub brow area transfer makes my eyelids so heavy I have very low brows now and hooded eyes. It looks very manly and distrorts my face. Is it possible to remove the fat from sub brow and cheek area without going under full facelift? And preferably under local? My body reacts very negatively to full anesthesia. My surgeon is very experienced but does not agree with the issues. We have a very different perception of what looks natural, unfortunately. Is micro liposuction a safe option?
I am researching options to restore lost volume in the midface area. So far I have had different recommendations, where one doctor suggests a full face FAMI fat grafting, and another - a combination of cheeklift and lower blepharoplasty (that could be combined with facial fat graft for enhanced result). I'm 44, looking for a natural effect, accumulated over time, rather than a drastic change. My skin tonus is pretty good, with good elasticity and mild sagging, mostly in the midface area.
I had a facial fat transfer 4 months ago and was injected in areas I did not want, including outside the nasolabial fold (instead of the piriform) and too low on high lateral cheek. My dr said we can always do microlipo to remove unwanted fat, but how safe and precise is this procedure? And can I get staged rounds of conservative microliposuction every 3 months?
I wanted buccal fat removal, and the doctor talked me into additional cheek lipo. He removed almost a full syringe of fat from each cheek. Now I have big dents in my face and there's fullness under my chin. I look much worse than before. The doctor says he can fix it with fat grafting and a neck lift with salivary gland reduction. It's a risky surgery, and I am worried. I don't know if I trust him at this point, and it's a lot of money. What do I do?
Hi, I have a number of questions and would appreciate some answers. Im 24 years old and Im very unhappy about losing the big cheeks I used to have. I smoked for about 4 and a half years but have now completely stopped. I also lost a few kilograms recently but I have noticed that my cheeks have completely disappeared and it makes me deeply unhappy. Is it possible to completely reverse facial volume loss? And would it be possible to have the face I had a few years ago?
I am looking to get my cheeks done, and I noticed that the fat injections are a lot cheaper than implants. I was told they last up to a year. If I get the injections and I lost weight at any time, would my body dissolve that fat? My normal facial structure is long and shallow-faced.
I recently had a neck & jowl lift a month ago. The doctor did a fat transfer to my cheeks, line from nose to corner of my mouth, and lips. I have a soft spongy lump on the corner of my mouth. It looks just awful. When I smile its down right embarrassing. My top lip is still not completely straight yet when I smile on the same side. The procedure from the lift or fat transfer did not affect my bottom lip. I know time will not fix the spongy lump. Help.
I want to correct my hollow eyes and plump up my cheeks. I am debating between a biositumlator and a facial fat transfer. I'm staying away from fillers because of the side effects. Any input on which treatment is better and why would be very helpful. Thank you!
Never had any filler. Have lost volume to upper cheek also effecting lower lid drop etc. Longer term will have fat transfer but is it safe to have nonscaring filler in mean time? Can it mean that fat transfer won't 'take' as successfully or at all in that area if I do? might it jeopardise success and longevity of this procedure and would any filler need dissolving beforehand regardless. don't want to make FT impossible later! want to avoid hydrolase too ideally.
