Small chalazion. Is there any recommendation to cure my eyelid? (Photo)

Question

I have a very small chalazion in my eye for the past 3 months now. I visited a few excellent doctors here who recommended forgetting this since nothing can be done due to its size. But sadly, my eye looks really wrinkly and dry. I have been given ointments and eye drops to avoid any eye dryness. Is this going to be forever? Is there any recommendation to cure my eyelid? I have my engagement party coming up very soon and my eyes make me look old. PS- I have done warm compresses yet no changes.

Assuming under all that wrinkly skin there actually is a chalazia, no the ointments and compresses are not getting the job done. I recommend having a kenalog injection into the chalazia. These are inflammatory lesions and respond beautifully to this treatment. The wrinkly skin is unusually and hopeful this will also resolve. You need to see an oculoplastic surgeon who is comfortable with this treatment option.

Another option for small chalasions is injection steroid and 5-fu. You can ask to your doctor if they provides 5-fu and steroid.

Thank you for sharing your story and posting your photo. You should hit it aggressively at this point with hot compresses, oral antibiotics and a small shot of medication into the bump. Make an appointment with an oculoplastic surgeon.
