After being botched by a previous oculoplastic surgeon in Sydney, I spent years researching surgeons around the world before finally finding Dr. Ayse. From our very first consultation, I knew I was in the right hands, Dr Ayse really took so much time to access my complex situation during 3 or 4 consultations before we decided to go ahead with surgery on both eyes. Dr. Ayse is incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, and—most importantly—ethical. She never pushed surgery or gave unrealistic promises. In fact, she was the most cautious and honest doctor I’ve ever met. But in the end, she over-delivered—the results of my surgery far exceeded my expectations, both in appearance and healing. I stayed in Istanbul for 3 weeks post surgery to have PRP injections as part of the aftercare to help with scarring and speed up recovery, and the difference was amazing. Her follow-up care was just as impressive as the surgery itself. The hospital experience was also excellent: modern facilities, a calm and comfortable environment, healthy food, and very efficient service. Its been about 3 months since the surgery and everything is going well and healing, Dr Ayse has always been available during the time since I left Istanbul and helped me sort out some healing issues over message , now I am seeing a huge improvement functionally and aesthetically. If you're looking for a world-class oculoplastic surgeon who puts ethics, precision, and patient wellbeing first—Dr. Ayse is the one. I’m beyond grateful and blessed to have found her.
As I've gotten older, the hollows under my eyes and my eyelids have worsened. Despite having a mid-facelift, they were still troubling me. I had a thorough consultation with Dr. Ayse Dolar Bilge, who considered my options of either filler or minor surgery. I decided to opt for surgery, as the doctor suggested this would provide me with the most natural look without the risk of filler migration. I am so pleased I listened to her advice. I am absolutely thrilled with the fat and nano fat grafting to my eyes and face; it was not too painful, done under local anesthesia, and involved very little downtime. I no longer look tired, and I have so much confidence. I could not recommend this doctor highly enough.
Ms. Ayse performed my upper and lower eyelid surgery. It's been almost 2 months since my surgery and the results are great. I also had botox done on top of it and I was very pleased with it. I would like to thank Ms. Ayse and her assistant P?nar and I definitely recommend them.
I found Dr Bilge through Google Search after I had some bad experience and unwanted results from my upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) which was performed by a plastic surgeon. One of my eyes did not seem to be operated well and the plastic surgeon was quite nonchalant about it. I felt like I needed the issue to be corrected. When I did my online research, I was impressed by Dr Bilge's great reviews. Her office location was also very convenient for me, so I thought I could give it a try. It turns out that I made the best choice. Her being an eye surgeon (and not a plastic surgeon) made the biggest difference for me. Her knowledge and experience on eyes and the eye area was quite an important factor in trusting her with the solution of my issue as well as her attitude and approach. She left the decision to me after explaining my issue, and solutions to the issue. Apparently I had minor "ptosis" in one of my eyes before the blepharoplasty but blepharoplasty made it look much worse. This issue was not noticed or handled properly by the plastic surgeon at the time. Dr Bilge assured me that she can do a (relatively) simple ptosis surgery and my issue would be resolved in the best way possible. After the blepharoplasty disaster, I did not feel ready to go through another surgery, so it took me more than 1 year to decide to have the ptosis surgery. Dr Bilge was very nice, friendly and patient with me through this time. She never pushed me or insisted that I had the surgery. She only said that she can resolve the issue the best way possible if I decided to go through the surgery. I finally decided in June of 2024 and afterwards I was asking myself why did I wait that long. It was a great experience, including the hospital, Dr Bilge and Dr Bilge's assistant, as well as the surgery itself, and the treatment I got after the surgery. My eyes looked perfect as soon as one day later. Now, after 6 months, I feel great again. I wish I met Dr Bilge before my blepharoplasty. She is the best eye surgeon. I recommend her to anyone who needs any trype of eye surgery or treatment.
Travelled from Canada and glad that I was able to book with Dr Ayse The whole experience was so easy, the first day was a comprehensive exam by the Dr and the surgery was planned, everything was explained very clearly and that helped me visualize how the surgery was going to go Surgery day went ahead as planned, no issues with the hospital, great staff and the whole thing went by flawlessly Thanks to Dr Ay?e for this natural look, 3 weeks out and the swelling is mostly gone, my results are amazing
As someone born with genetic dark circles, I've always known there would be a lower eyelid surgery in my future. I spent years researching doctors to perform surgery on me and kept going back and forth over fear of the many possible complications. Lower blepharoplasty is a very tricky procedure with lots of room for error, and it's extremely important to find a surgeon who knows how to avoid complications like ectropion. When I found dr. Bilge on realself, I was struck by her rave reviews and incredible photos. Some of them even looked too good to be true, but the sincerity of the reviews on her revision cases gave me feeling that dr Bilge was the real deal. Now on the other side of my surgery, I I can say for sure that those incredible photos and reviews are real. I believe that Dr. Bilge is leagues ahead of the big name oculoplastic surgeons in Beverly Hills, with none of the associated ego. It can be scary getting surgery overseas, but Dr Bilge made me feel instantly comfortable and was genuinely concerned about getting the best and most natural outcome. I was a bit surprised at how "casual" the whole process was compared to surgery in the US. Personally, I preferred this more "casual" approach because it made me feel like the surgery wasn't such a huge deal. While her process may be more relaxed, dr. Bilge is absolutely meticulous in her technique, with a delicate and precise hand. She performed a full eye exam before the surgery, and explained everything she was going to do in detail. In addition to a lower blepharoplasty, dr. Bilge performed a subtle canthopexy in the corners of my eyes to make them look sharper and get rid of some mild ectropion. I traveled to Istanbul alone for the surgery and had no issues during recovery. After the surgery, I napped in the hospital for a bit but went home in an uber the same day. My vision was a bit blurry for the first week, but this is normal and to be expected. After about 10 days, I comfortable walking in public without sunglasses and only minor bruising and swelling. This was due to dr. Bilge's excellent technique as well as eating healthy before and after the surgery - which is very easy to do in Istanbul. There was even a fresh juice stand right next to my air bnb and I would get fresh pineapple juice every morning to aid with the bruising and swelling. After two weeks, I drove down to the beaches in the south of Turkey and met with friends who were none the wiser. It's been two months since my surgery now and my eyes look completely natural but so much better. Airport mirrors used to be my nightmare, and I would cringe when I had to look at myself in the flourescent lighting. The first time I saw myself in the Istanbul airport after the surgery, I almost cried from happiness. I no longer have to look at myself at an angle or shy away from horrible bathroom lighting. My bags are completely gone and I just look brighter and more "alive". Most importantly, I feel SO much more confident. It is rare to find a surgeon who has such a high level of skill but lack or ego or arrogance. When I found dr. Bilge, I just knew in my heart that she would be the doctor for me. All I can say is that I'm so glad I trusted my gut!
I recently underwent a highly complex eyelid retraction repair surgery with Dr. Ayse Dolar Bilge, following a previous unsatisfactory experience from other doctor. The results have been nothing short of remarkable, exceeding all expectations. Dr. Ayse Dolar Bilge's expertise and skill truly shone through in addressing this challenging procedure, achieving results that seemed almost impossible. I am beyond pleased with the outcome and grateful for Dr. Ayse Dolar Bilge's remarkable work. I highly recommend her services to anyone in need of specialised care.
I came to dr. Bilge from another country and that was the best choice I've ever made. The procedure was lower eyelid lifting with spacer. The result is more than perfect, I'm glad I chose her. She was so gentle and nice all the time i recommend her with two hands. Thank you dr. Bilge !
I went to Dr Ayse after being severely botched by another surgeon ended up having retraction and rounded corners. This had such an impact on me that I became depressed for years, I thought my life is over. I had my revision with Dr Ayse and never thought I would achieve these results because my case was very challenging. During my consult, I told Dr Ayse if she can improve it by 30% I would be happy, she didn’t improve by 30%, not 50%, not 80% but by 100%. My corners are sharp, and she also fixed the retraction. I'm almost 6 months post-op now. I was so impressed on how she approached my revision, the preparation, surgery, and after care. She is truly a gifted surgeon, blessed with talent, and such a kind Dr. She is honest and tells you if she can help you or not. What I also love so much about her is that she cares so much about her patients. During my consult she told me that maybe I need a hard palate graft to fix the retraction (which can be painful). She did everything for me to make my surgery and the healing process so comfortable for me. I’m so grateful I found her, thank you so much Dr Ayse, you gave me my life back.
For years, I have been going directly to Ay?e teacher for my eye area problems. About 1 year ago, I had lower eyelid lift surgery. There is only one thing I can say: He is number 1 in his field with both his knowledge and interest. It is a great chance for our country, and even though he is such a physician, he listens to your problem with interest and tries to find a solution with his humble attitude and smiling face. If there is a 'must have' in everyone's life, that is it for me.
There may be some scarring on the conjunctival surface, which might require revision surgery. Following surgery 5-FU injections may needed.
I think your other eyelid has retraction so retraction surgery for your retracted eyelid is a better surgical option.
For upper eyelid hollowness, we prefer fillers initially because if we can't achieve perfect symmetry, adding more filler is easier. With fat injections, achieving symmetry involves technical challenges like removing and reinjecting fat, and fat can sometimes increase in volume over time. Therefore, our primary choice is fillers, but fat can also be conservatively injected along with other facial areas.
There can be two reasons for this appearance. It can be due to ptosis or volume deficiency. You may benefit of fillers if you have volume deficiency.
There can be two reasons for a sunken appearance. It could be due to ptosis, or your socket volume might be insufficient. In this case, if ptosis is present, ptosis surgery would be appropriate. If the socket volume is insufficient, surgical interventions targeting the socket volume would be suitable.
