Wide set eyes. Is there anything I can do to fix them? (Photo)

Question

I have very wide set eyes and they bothered me most of my life. I always knew i looked different but didnt know why until i was picked on for it while in school. Im 22 now and was wondering if theres anything i can do to fix them or move them closer.

Hello and thank you for your question. I do think that you have a handsome appearance and there is beauty in the unique. However, if this truly bothers you and you'd like to review your options, you would need to alter the facial bones to address eyes that are far apart. This would involve a consultation with a craniofacial surgeon to discuss risks/benefits of surgery and treatment options. Best of luck to you.

I agree that your eyes are slightly wider apart than the norm. Having said that, I think you are a handsome guy and the risks of doing any intervention outweigh the benefits of bring the eyes close together. The intervention would require orbital surgery with bone movement and the risks would include loss of vision and double vision.

Thank you for sharing your concerns and posting your photo. For your specific case there is no easy solution to correct the distance between your eyes. From the photo it appears you have ptosis of your upper eyelids (drooping.) This would be improved with surgery and likely improve the overall appearance of your eyes. See an experienced oculoplastic surgeon for detailed evaluation and guidance.
