I find most patients that have had weight loss rather be happy now and deal with revision after having children. A tummy tuck should not interfere with having children in the future. You may need another tummy tuck or a revision after having children.
Patients with EDS must realize that their wounds may heal slowly and they may experience extreme tiredness and overall musculoskeletal pain after the surgery. Your board certified PS will require clearance from the specialist who is in charge of treating your symptoms.

A full tummy tuck without muscle repair is fine as long as you are not anticipating children in the near future. I’ve done it in women similar to you. You’re right that you may need a revision after children. You can deal with that if it occurs later.

Typically we advise women who plan to have children in the future to wait until after they have completed their families before considering a tummy tuck. This is because future pregnancies can impact your tummy tuck results. One option you can consider now is BodyTite. This procedure combines skin tightening and liposuction. It does not involve the long scar like the tummy tuck and it does not require general anesthesia. There is no muscle repair involved, but from your description, that is not a concern for you. You ask a great question. More often than not, patients will opt to have an abdominoplasty after pregnancy as the goal of a tummy tuck is to improve the wear and tear of your abdomen. If you are willing to wait and address this wear and tear at the end of the pregnancies you currently plan to have, I would recommend it simply due to the ease of having a single operation that would address all of your concerns at once and with finality.

However, as you say that this is a secondary concern of yours, it is still entirely possible to have an abdominoplasty before a future pregnancy - with the understanding that your results may require re-addressing at a later date. If you feel strongly that you want the operation now rather than later in your life, I recommend that you consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon near you with whom you could create a surgical plan appropriate to your desired goals and your anatomy. One potential part of your operation I recommend you discuss with your surgeon is the degree to which to tighten your abdominal wall if at all, as this is something that could potentially pose some physical resistance during the course of your pregnancy.

If you opt for a tummy tuck before having children and are planning to have children in the future you should have a free skin only tummy tuck and do not have the surgeon perform muscle tightening.

You will stretch out your results to some degree with future pregnancies and if children are in the near future it makes more sense to do the tummy tuck after you’re done having children.

For women who are uncertain or it is unlikely they’re going to have children in the near future having a skin on the tummy tuck is a reasonable approach if they have significant skin laxity.

Based on the photograph that you show I do not see much skin excess below the belly button. If you do have significant skin laxity below the belly button and a full tummy tuck would likely be your best option as it would tighten the skin above the belly button as well.
