I'm 30 yo. I need a full TT as I have excess skin above and below my BB, muscles are intact. I have been advised that a full TT before kids is not a good idea because the BB can cause problems Is this true? I understand & accept kids may undo my results in the future but I would rather gain the benefit now as this is something that really bothers me
Answer: Tummy tuck Typically we advise women who plan to have children in the future to wait until after they have completed their families before considering a tummy tuck. This is because future pregnancies can impact your tummy tuck results. One option you can consider now is BodyTite. This procedure combines skin tightening and liposuction. It does not involve the long scar like the tummy tuck and it does not require general anesthesia. There is no muscle repair involved, but from your description, that is not a concern for you. Before considering any other these procedures I encourage you to visit with your PCP about your potential EDS diagnosis.

Answer: Is a full tummy tuck before children advisable for me? EDS is a contraindication for tummy tuck as these patients do not heal well. Your skin excess is minimal so I would not recommend tummy tuck at this time (if you are deemed a candidate). In this case, you are better off waiting. Best of luck.

Answer: Tummy tuck before children Thank you for your question. The answer is yes, you can get a tummy tuck before having kids. I find most patients that have had weight loss rather be happy now and deal with revision after having children. I would suggest seeing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your options. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Tummy tuck candidate Dear beaniebaby65, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you want you can get tummy tuck prior to pregnancies. But there is a risk that you will need a revision later. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Is a full tummy tuck before children advisable for me? (photo) A tummy tuck should not interfere with having children in the future. You may need another tummy tuck or a revision after having children. Patients with EDS must realize that their wounds may heal slowly and they may experience extreme tiredness and overall musculoskeletal pain after the surgery. Your board certified PS will require clearance from the specialist who is in charge of treating your symptoms.
