Can I do more than 4 Emsculpt sessions?

Can I do more than 4 sessions. I am thinking if I can do 6 sessions for the period of 3 weeks to achieve better result or it is totally unnecessary?

Thanks for the question, just like over exercise you can hit your plateau, if you are trying to get a ton of results quickly I would suggest focusing on diet over trying to let the machine build your body! 4 sessions combined with cardio and diet in 2 weeks should make a huge change!

Hello,Thank you for your question. You can do more than 4 treatments. EmSculpt recommends no more than 8 consecutive treatments per area every 6 months. You will need to consult with your local provider in person to determine if the extra sessions would be beneficial in your case. Good luck!

Hi Offcolor,With your xs to s size,as well as your doing Pilates (from your previous questions here on RS), and now doing an extra two sessions of Emsculpt, you should be a poster woman for Emsculpt results.  The Emsculpt was studied at 7 independent US medical practices, the protocol for the treatment was 2 treatments a week, separated by 2 to 3 days for two weeks, a total of 4 Emsculpt 30 minute treatments.  One would think that adding more treatments should help you achieve a better result.  Good luck and be well.Dr. P

Yes, many patients want to know if they can do more than four sessions of Emsculpt.  The original study suggest that 4 sessions is the most effective protocol for new patients. Many patients have done extra sessions and report further improvement, so this is certainly an option. For the fat reduction effect, I would recommend waiting 3 months to see the full benefit before adding more sessions.

Yes, it is possible to do 6 sessions instead of 4 for your initial package of treatments. We usually recommend 4-6 sessions over 2-3 weeks followed by maintenance sessions every 6 - 12 months as needed.

Thank you for your question. Studies showed that 4 Emsculpt treatments show great results. More treatments cannot hurt but depending on your current body you may or may not see a major change following the recommended 4 treatments. The studies showed the maximum benefits were achieved after completing 4 treatments total over aspan of two weeks.   Patients can perform subsequent treatments to maintain their initial results.  The frequency of follow-up treatments will depend on an individual’s diet and lifestyle.  I would suggest making an appointment for an in-person consultation with an experienced healthcare provider who can create a treatment plan with you.  Best of luck!

Hi Offcolour,Thanks for your question. The clinical studies tested protocols between 4-8 treatments. The results show that there may not be much benefit doing more than 4 as the results seemed to plateau after the 4th. Having said that, it is possible that on a case-to case basis, more than 4 treatments will be recommended. It is a conversation I encourage you to have with the physician you visit in consultation. 4 is the number that BTL came up with that gave the most results in the most cost effective manner as each procedure adds cost to the treatment.    You can do more, but the results of the first 4 were much more effective than the later 4 treatments, in the study.
I will let you know personally as I in the process of getting to 8 and see what my results are.

Current studies have shown that results tend to plateau after four sessions.  Therefore, extra sessions will likely not increase the benefits of the treatment.  Additional sessions after six months can help to maintain results.  Please seek a certified healthcare provider to determine if you are an ideal candidate for this treatment.
