Answer: Emsculpt ideal candidate Emsculpt is great for someone already at or near ideal weight which is generally a BMI under 30, and even better if lower. This is for increasing muscle definition so the overlying fat layer would ideally be relatively thin to begin with.

Answer: EmSculpt Candidate Hello,Thank you for your question. The EmSculpt treats the entire abdomen area. The recommended BMI is 28 and under. With approximately no more than two inches of pinchable fat. If you are outside of those parameters the treatment may not be as effective. Please consult with a local physician in person to determine the best course of action. Good luck!

Answer: Emsculpt: What is a good starting BMI. Is it effective for the deeper fat? Hi Renee,Each individual should be examined by a physician prior to Emsculpt treatment to determine whether they are a candidate for the procedure. Ideal patients are those with a BMI of 30 or below, but there are exceptions depending on the individual. Most importantly a detailed past medical history must be taken insure safety and efficacy. We had a patient today who remembered that as a child she had surgery and that metal clips were used internally in her abdomen. Metal in the body close to the area treated is a contraindication to Emsculpt so she was not treated. The fat that Emsculpt reduces is peripheral fat (that fat between the skin and muscle). It does not decrease visceral fat (the fat below the muscle around the intestines, "beer belly" fat.) Interestingly, the love handle fat is often decreased when the abdomen is treated with Emsculpt because of the supra maximal contractions of the core abdominal muscles. Good luck and be well.Dr. P

Often, it can be combined with other fat reducing treatments to provide optimal results. Make sure you see an experienced physician provider. Best wishes.

Answer: Emsculpt Treatment Hi, thank you for your question. Studies have shown that an ideal patient’s BMI should be under 30. Emsculpt helps to sculpt your muscles while burning fat in the area being treated. It is always best to have an evaluation for a procedure in person by an expert. Please seek a certified health care provider to determine if you are an ideal candidate for the procedure.
