I got silicone injections 13 years ago, I like my lips but how can I reduce the length from lip to nose? (photos)

You may be best suited for an upper lip lift and a lip reduction, performed at the same time, especially if you want the upper teeth to show if they aren't already. A surgical lip lift is a great option for patients who feel as if the distance between their upper lip and their nose is too long or has lengthened over time.  A lip lift can improve definition of the lip border and improve pink lip volume.  I would advise anyone looking into this procedure to consult with a facial plastic surgeon to discuss any questions they might have. Lip filler, implant, and/or silicone removal may or may not be a good option depending on the patient's goals and anatomy.All the best,

A lip lift is not the answer and the distance between the tip of your nose and lip vermilion looks normal for a female. The normal distance should measure 11-13 mm. In most cases following silicone injections the lips look heavy and require lip reduction. I like to remove lip mucosa and submucosa (including some of the silicone) where the wet mucosa begins. I prefer a seagull shaped incision to provide a naturally appearing lip. Your upper lip appears asymmetrical and that must be taken into consideration as well. 

You are indeed a good candidate for a lip lift despite the silicone injection. The scars can be hidden under the nose and in the nostrils. Your upper lip vermillion would look a little more visible, so you wouldn't need to pencil your upper lip border higher. If we decide that your lips are too big, you could get a lip reduction. The silicone may not be removed, but a lip reduction is still possible.

You are an excellent candidate for a lip lift.  A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.  Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

A lip lift is an incredible way to help improve the aesthetics of the lip and make the lip look more voluptuous in a meaningful and natural way.

It's possible to lift upper lip and to remove silicone for volume reduction.  Often better to do one of those first to observe the result.  If you like lip lift you may not need volume reduction.
