I love my teeth but I hate that they don’t show when I talk, smile or laugh. I went to an orthodontist, I am not a candidate for braces or veneers due to the root of my teeth being so short. Ortho recommended Botox around my lips but I was told that would not help show my teeth. The other option was jaw surgery to lower my jaw but was told that would not be recommended.
Answer: Lip lift versus jaw surgery Without the benefit of a consultation and going by your photos, it does not appear that you are a candidate for the lip lift procedure. (Did you recently have lip fillers?). If the distance between the base of your nose and upper lip vermilion is less than 15 mm, then lip lift surgery is not indicated. Corrective jaw surgery allows the surgeon to re-position the upper jaw into a more aesthetic position and the allow teeth to be seen.

Answer: Consider a Lip Lift A lip lift might be the best choice for you. This surgical procedure lifts the upper lip slightly, decreasing distance between the nose and lip and increasing teeth show when you smile. The procedure requires a single incision at the base of the nose, leaving little visible scarring behind. I encourage you to schedule an assessment with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon for additional evaluation and a customized treatment plan.

Answer: Lip lift You are an excellent candidate for a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Lip Lift You appear to be a great candidate for a lip lift. It would shorten the philtrum, increase your dental show, increase the upper red lip volume, and provide more balance to the lower face. Look at before/after photos and find a specialist whose work you really like. Gary Linkov, MDLip SpecialistManhattan
