Just need my confusion cleared up. Is there a huge visible difference of 175ccs?

Surgeon is wanting to put Natrelle Inspira 695cc on mleft side and 520cc on right side. How much of a difference is there between the two? Is there a huge visible difference of 175ccs?

After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. 175cc is a big difference in size unless you have a major asymmetry. Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

This is an issue that you must clear with your surgeon. If you have native breasts that have a difference in size of  175 cc, then that is a valid choice. It also depends on your chest circumference. if you wear a 34 bra, then, that is  more than a cup size difference ! But if you wear a 40 bra, then this is half a cup size difference.

Hi Shaynna.  Yes, 175cc is a significant difference--basically a full cup (usually 150-200cc make one cup difference)!  If your breast size is that different, other procedures such as lift may be necessary to balance nipple areola height differences.  Putting a bigger implant in the smaller breast will often EXACERBATE nipple/areola discrepancies.

175cc is quite a noticeable difference when considering implants. If placing a difference in 175cc from side to side you would lead me to believe that you have an appreciable asymmetry that needed correcting. Make sure you try on breast implant sizers in these differences to assure that you agree with the size plan.

175cc is a pretty substantial implant size mismatch but I would assume that's necessary to improve a substantial breast asymmetry. Photos would be helpful to determine if this is reasonable. 
Typically I used anatomical sizing, breast implant sizers and 3D simulation to help identify asymmetries and help choose the right size implants to achieve the patient goals and improve the asymmetries. 
Maybe seek a second consultation to determine if this is appropriate for your anatomy and goals.

If you are size 32 or 34, each 100 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. If you are size 36 or 38. each 200 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. From this, you can determine what size is required to achieve your desired goal.

Thanks for your inquiry, honestly the answer to question is it depends not only the volumes of implant, but also if two different styles of implants and how different your breast started apart. A picture would be very helpful.  175 cc more (695 cc implant)  is 33% larger than 520, so I would say the need for that much more volume indicates your starting point was very asymmetrical breast. The difference between the two sizes is about a cup. Obviously, your two breasts are not the same size and your surgeon is trying to adjust the difference.

ı think you and your surgeon try to correcting pre-existing breast asymmetry.
 Over time, natural changes in breast tissue and implant settling may further emphasize any size disparity. Regular follow-up with the surgeon can help monitor and address any concerns that may arise post-operatively. Fat injection may be needed in the long term for asymmetry.
